Couldn't have put it better myself.

Richard Park leaves himself open to ridicule with his ridiculous statements about celebrities he knows, whether they are true or not the man still looks like a prat. It seems as if he is trying to justify his place on the panel by mentioning his connections - I don't particularly like Patrick Kielty, but anyone who gets up RP's nose gets my vote

True, but they don't allow as much time for opinions as some other shows, so something has to give. And with Pop Idol, the judges know how to give a brief opinion when asked for one...

Not at all - he irritates me... he isn't particularly funny, he thinks too highly of himself, and there was that period when he just on *way* too much... but if he puts a pin in RP's bubble, that's alright by me...
I guess our focus is different. Yours seems to be RP whereas mine is Patrick

That's another thing that I don't like about Patrick. He tries to highlight what is obvious to us the viewer, that RP name drops, goes on and on and is unnecessarily critical.

I just get the feeling that RP takes himself extremely seriously. He doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humour about himself..... for example when someone was rude to/took the p*ss out of Simon Cowell, he didn't seem phased by it and took it in good spirit, but with RP he seems really offended and angry that someone has dared to criticise him.

I was making the same point to someone the other day. Simon just laughs or sometimes he doesn't respond. RP must always have the last word.

Park is a complete tw*t. Patrick does a brilliant job. I suspect its more likley Park wont be around in future. However if true then the BBC really are cliques corner.

Patrick Kielty gets a lot of stick, which is a shame. He's good with Cat Deeley (and her nipples ) on Fame Academy, and I remember a few years ago he had the Patrick Kielty Show, which was on after Jonathan Ross and was actually really good. Richard Park on the other hand, deserves to be hung, drawn and quartered.

Indeed, after his stunt a few nights ago before the watershed, it may be somebody else we don't see on BBC's screens.

Patrick thingy is one of 2 people banned from ever appearing on my TV set. The other is Michael Barrymore. Both are talent-less pratts who should both be sent back to whereever it is they came from, the quicker the better.

Although they'd make a compelling double-act, don't you agree?

I can't stand Richard Park. He made out once before that Patrick wouldn't be back on FA, and that he could control that, but lo and behold we saw Patrick on this series.

I just loved how the celebs weren't afraid to accuse Richard of namedropping, etc. The previous academy students didn't quite dare to go that far.

Bear in mind, the students in the real academy had something to lose, those in CRDFA didn't. RP may be a prat, but turning someone in his position against you is not a good idea if you're trying to get a record contract.

Richard Park is as usual getting carried away with his own importance.

As for FA, he's hired for his role as Judge/headmaster on the programme, just as Patrick Kielty, Carrie & David and Kevin are in the different roles.

He's not as far as i know he isn't on the FA production team, nor in the position of hiring & firing.

Patrick Kielty's 'Green Inc' production company produces different programmes on both sides of the Irish Sea, so PK doesn't depend on FA for his future on BBC Television.

But either way if there is a new series of FA3, RP won't be making decisions or whether P.K appears on BBC screens again!

I wasn't criticising the former students - I fully understood their position, of course.

I just meant that it was nice that the celebs were able to ridicule Richard. He became a parody of himself this series.

SOLUTION TO PARK/KIELTY SPAT:

Get them both to sing a pop tune after two days' of coaching from Carrie, David and Kevin and then subject them to a phone vote. The winner keeps his place in the programme's lineup for the prospective new series.... the loser walks!

Just replace both of them. Ade as headmaster and Reggie as presenter

Richard Park was criticising Patrick in the papers today for using the word 'fella' too much, and he said that he's not the only person who's noticed this. Do you think Park reads this forum?!

The way I see is- people with good hearing tend to agree with Richard most of the time. Whilst people who start to care about the contestants dont like him.

If he does, he must have selective *hearing*, as he's only noticed the criticisms of Paddy!!

And they say eavesdroppers never hear good about themselves!!!

Am I the only person who thinks this might all be rather good publicity for any upcoming FA that might be in the pipeline? If it is, I wish they'd stop, because it's very tiresome
