Can someone please explain the scam that Charlie is doing?

Why is he pretending to be a policeman? Why did he do the charade of Nicks death? What's the nursing home got to do with anything??

Sorry but this story is making no sense!

it would seem nick made him do the whole fake funeral thing and I'm guessing it will all come out when nick returns exactly why it's very intriguing.

charlie is becoming interesting.

he's a caretaker and seems to be something of a mummy's boy. his scenes earlier with yvonne made me think he was a bit wet behind the ears and mybe a little immature. but then he seems to want the family interaction especially with Dot and he stood up to yvonne which made me wonder.

I say immature, I think he looks mid 30's but does anyone how old he is meant to be as im thinking maybe he's meant to be younger.

edit it would seem yvonne and charlie have some kind of scam with the care home maybe they are overcharging or something

Or maybe you don't understand that we're not supposed to know yet. It's a mystery.

Seems as though Nick has forced Charlie and his mum to fake his death (for reasons still unknown?) and to add credibility to the story, Charlie's pretended to be a police officer. The care home is where Charlie (as a caretaker) and his mum actually work, but this has added questions of why Charlie has such an expensive car and why he was able to pay Bianca's debt off.

I'm usually not so slow at understanding stories but this one is very confusing. There seem to be more questions than answers.
