I am going to buy a new tv and have narrowed it down to the following two models, given the choice which one would you choose.

or

Is any better than the other or will they be very similar?

thanks for any help.

Top two brands, either would be perfectly fine.

Thought that might be the case, will probably go for the Panasonic as it is a little cheaper.

Thanks Nigel.

I recently bought a tx-50A400B. Absolutely disappointing TV. Couldn't set the thing up properly using the Video Essentials disk. No proper colour adjustments available. Blacks all had a blue or purple tinge to them. Light bleed from the edge lighting down the righthand side. Pretty poor review on AVForums now. Wish I'd seen that earlier.

Took it back and swapped it for a Samsung - very content with that.

I suppose the 42 inch version may be a different beast but I'd be cautious.

I wouldn't ask a forum, everyone has different views about picture quality and they may not be the same as yours. It's time to get off your bottom and start looking at some.
