Why is Lauren making such a massive deal about Dean not giving Lola a job??? She's peters girlfriend and his dads got businesses all over the place! If she so desperate for money or a job why can't drippy Peter get his dad to sort her out.

Lauren's reaction to a fit guy you are recently dating was unnatural.

I don't know if this is to show Lauren being nice to Lola as she actually likes her boyfriend, or if it's to show that Dean doesn't want to be associated with the 'kids' (as he has called them) but will actually be sharing scenes with them.

Lola - I see you're advertising for a qualified stylist

Dean - yes

Lola - can I have the job

Dean - no

Lola - why not ?

Dean - Because you're not a qualified stylist

Lauren - how dare you talk to her like that

It's hilarious. Apparently giving a genuine answer is being rude to someone.

I think it was done to show that Dean's salon is unlike any Walford has ever seen therefore not just anyone can work there.

They seem to be suggesting he's being a snob Yes an employer who won't employ someone who doesn't have the right qualifications is in fact just a snob.

I was glad for once a soap showing somebody not getting a job so easily. She hasn't got the qualifications or experience to fulfill the role and her attitude doesn't do her any favors, I was completely on Dean's side.....

None of Ian's businesses involve the trade Lola is trained in, has experience of and wants to do. Peter has already suggested her working in other areas and the general consensus was that he was being a snob trying to get her to 'better' herself. Though why she can't work as a waitress short term I don't know unless the issue is that she needs to look after Lexi and Janet in the evening as Billy is already at the chippy so not available to babysit.

I don't think is so much that it is Lola as Lauren thinks Dean is being a snob and judgemental because Lola is a bit chavvy and she doesn't like that attitude in general.

I just think dean is a vile, slimey human being, who is no fun to watch, because if matts poor acting... Deans just a creep:/

Lola can also be vile just lately IMO, I'm glad she's vile to peter though, I'm sick of seeing her walking around like peters puppet, which brings me on to peter, another vile character

That has to be the worst dialogue of the year. Pitiful writing.

Exactly, she could work as a waitress....iim not a hundred percent sure but am I right in thinking she hasn't had a job since booty closed down??? I get she's not a stylist but she's about as qualified at hairdressing as Alfie is at running the cafe!

I was hiring the other week for my... erm... Waste management company. Needed someone to organise a couple of collections from unsatisfied clients.

Anyway, some 5'3 blonde came in to one of my offices in the local strip club, Lola or Lyra I think her name was.

Lola: "GIZZA JOB GUVNA"
Respectable Businessman J-B: "No."
Lola: "ARE YOU KIDDING GUV, I GOT MOUTHS TO FEED"
Dashing and charming J-B: "Do you know anything about waste management?"

* In walks some other hot brunette whinging her mouth off, Lauren or Lyra or something *

Lauren: "She can learn can't she ?!"
Lola: "COME ON GUV, I USED TO SWEEP UP HAIR AND DID THE NAILS FOR ME POPS SECOND COUSIN THAT DIDN'T EXIST BEFORE 2007. EQUALLY, I DIDN'T EXIST THEN EITHER BUT GIVEN THE POOR CARE CONDITIONS POP WAS ESTABLISHED TO LIVE IN IT'S NOT ENTIRELY IMPLAUSIBLE THAT HE HAD KIDS VERY YOUNG."
Lauren: "I thought you woz better than this Don't make me bring up that we knew eachother in 2007, when I was 14, as you were friends with my dead unmentionable brother."
Respectable, Handsome, and Benevolent Businessman J-B: "Alright, alright... she's in!"

So I have a new Capo in my waste management consultancy, her name is Lola or Lyra or something.

Wasn't she a travelling nail technician Actually that sounds very highfalutin so maybe she is after all good enough for Dean's studio.

But then he gives her a job anyway because having sex with Lauren is more important than his livelihood.

I'm hoping it's more about putting Peter's nose out of joint and making Linda jealous Sleeping with Lauren that is not giving Lola a job

She had completed almost 2 years training at Bootys, I'd imagine she could complete her training with Dean. It would be a shame for her to throw it all away to work in a café.

I imagine Stacey will get the stylist's job and Lola will get to finish her training or focus on nails etc.

An interesting combination of characters.

Can you blame him?

I bet Lauren is great at giving 'jobs' to people - she has certainly had enough practice!

What's stopping Lola looking a bit harder for a job?

This is to ease a guilty conscience. Lauren knows she crossed a line by encouraging Peter to grieve with her instead of Lola and now they've grown closer she's worried about being a homewrecker again. I believe she thinks that if she takes Lola's boyfriend but gets her a job then she's not really a bad person and Lola won't hate her as much.

You know it takes things from people trying to get jobs with Lauren spouting off.

Mo's right. Because he got his legover with Lauren he'll give in

Loud mouths get you what you want in EE

This doesn't do Lauren any favours

Thing i don't get is why doesn't Lola try up on the high street or elsewhere for a job? :S

where i live i'm 2 minutes walk from a shopping center and if i cant find any vacancies there then i immediately hop on the bus from that shopping center and go into the town center itself and look and if i cant find something there i go to the retail park just next to my college and look just because Dean wont employ her doesn't mean someone else in Walford wouldn't
