Help Required Please Help
Hiya there,
We have a DVD Player downstairs and the TV is only 24'', but My brother has in his Room a TV that is 38'', but no DVD Player. We only have a DVD Player downstairs and it is almost impossoble to move it, but can make Copies of the DVDs and play them on my Brothers room VHS Player. My brother wouldnt let me take his TV out of the room, and I am not buying another DVD Player. Could I make good Copies of the Movies- for personal use to watch them upstairs. I am sure this is legal because I only just want to watch the DVD Upstairs, could I make good copies on to a VHS Tape and watch them upstairs. Thanks, Please Help I need your Advice

Hello Sajjad,
Well as far as I know as long as you actually own the dvd film to begin with, you will have no problem making backups for personel use. The only thing stopping you now is that little pest called MACROVISION that scrambles the dvd signal when it reaches the video. So unless you have a macrovision disabled dvd player (check for remote hack) you will have to shell out for a disabler, which will set you back 30 squid. Then you are on your way. Hope this helps.

Also as the source is digital (your dvd) then you will have perfect copies. Keeping in mind the aspect ratio, as this can sometimes end up in a stretched picture. And check that the video and sound outputs are compatible with your vcr (eg; RGB, NTSC, PAL, Dolby Digi etc)

Depends on the DVD player. What model is it?
