What do you think a really radical EP of EastEnders would do?

I agree with all of you. There are occasionally very strong episodes but the show isn't as compelling as it once was. Mind you I take Mo's point about nostalgia too.

I'd have a Bus Crash - it doesn't have to be a coach, maybe just 20-odd people on board:

- 4/5 people would be killed off
- someone ends up in a wheelchair
- maybe someone gets amnesia
- maybe someone gets into financial difficulty following a loss/injury
- maybe someone feels guilty

The event could spin-off several storylines effecting multiple families in the square. None of the Fair rubbish which had no true lasting effect (apart from Ian meeting Jane) people would be effected in different ways and that would be shown.

The most people I remember being killed off on EastEnders at once is 2 so this would be not a massacre but very different.

Kill off Max. He's had a good run and is obviously very popular amongst some crowds, but the character is spent, repetitive and boring imo.

This I very much agree with but. I lost interest and a feeling of enagement with the character a long time ago.I dont like the thought of him being around decades like Phil Mitchell.

That would certainly be a change of direction!
