Would People Still Like Frenchy If...
ABCZYX

Would people here still like Frenchy if it had been Gary that she had annoyed and if it had been Gary's underpants that she had ripped? Because I don't think they would. It comes across as double standards to me.

I would. I don't like Gary, so I don't feel the need to Whiteknight.

I don't actually like Frenchy herself, I think she should have been kicked out for damage to others property and aggressive behaviour, but I do like what she's bringing to the show.

She is playing her part and doing what they have paid her to do. She knows what to do to get airtime, which is what she's there for.

Gary's not done anything to Frenchy.....it's Leslie who's causing the problems .....so why bring Gary into it......

What about if it was you in there and it was your personal property that had been damaged? Would you care then?

I certainly would, I find her absolutely hilarious! Frenchy would have went psycho with anybody who was moaning about her, regardless of who they were.

Plus, Gary still gives me the creeps.

You said you wouldn't like it if it was you, but doesn't that tell you that what she did was wrong? It can't be alright for her to do it to one person and not someone else. That's my point.

I think you just described Helen

With regard to Frenchie, she behaved like a dangerous child, but it was entertaining to watch the fallout. She and Leslie are so similar, it is surprising to me that some people like him but not her, or vice-versa.

I know what the OP means though, there is a lot of blinkered Gary support, had she done it to him, some viewers wouldn't be finding her actions quite so hysterical but, because it was Leslie, it seems to be acceptable to ruin his property. Of course, ruining the food affected the whole house.

I suspect the reaction would be different if it was a man, maybe James or David, going bananas with scissors.
