Is it supposed to be a major fire like the Queen Vic fire with spectacular scenes or not?

It's good I'm not missing much then, I'll be watching Kate Bush on stage.

Not really, it's meant to be more about the aftermath.

I'm not convinced it will be on the 2nd, surely they would have moved the episode away from Emmerdale if it was.

I'm expecting the usual 'the fire was rubbish, stunts were crap etc' threads once it airs.
Remember Eastenders aren't known for great stunts and if the aftermath proves as promising as what it sounds then it shouldn't matter.

Indeed. We have to remember that this is just a plot development and not a traditional stunt.

Plus, house fires aren't spectacular and amazing when they happen in real life, so why should they be on EastEnders?

And no, EastEnders aren't known for their stunts.

I'm surprised we haven't had publicity pics of the fire by now

I'm not convinced. I think it'll be the week after judging by the spoilers.

Me too. According to Unreality TV, the arsonist knows that Alfie and the kids are in the house, but doesn't think Kat is. Maybe it's the night of Sharon's hen night and unknown to the arsonist, Kat goes home early.

So somebody is prepared to kill three small children but not Kat? I could understand if the arsonist thought Alfie was on his own in the house. Given the chance I think everyone would want to kill that imbecile.
