Seriously is it? there is so many uninteresting and blank characters. They only family that interest me these days is the Platt's but even they are now repetitive as Nick looks older than his mother thanks to the silly recast.
Carla, Deirdre, Ken, Sally, Gail, Audrey, David, Tim, Steve, Liz, Roy, Norris, Rita, Emily, Eva and Eccles are the only ones worth watching IMO. Everyone else can do one as their either boring, irritating or both.

the top level of acting is only done by two people weather they like it or not and that Leanne and Carla
Top of my axe list would be Lloyd, Andrea, Izzy, Garry, all of Karl's family including himself, and Michael. And Rob, but he's already going anyway.
I think they need a new producer first and foremost because we've seen what Dominic Treadwell-Collins has done for Eastenders. The first thing he or she needs to do is to introduce a family with a strong matriarch or patriarch.

Tina was the future of the show and was far and away the most popular young character and actress in the show. It was a massive mistake killing her off.
Michelle Keegan would off returned in a few years if given the chance.

Short answer: no
Long answer: no, there's some deadwood, but that's easily fixed

I agree. The family brought in to run the gym are falling asleep boring. I will add Craig to your list as I think he is a natural actor, head and shoulders above the other child actors in the show.
Leanne should be shown the Order Of The Boot. Perhaps after being a central figure in a storyline where a gang of vicious Hell's Angels bike on in to Weatherfield and, in a drunken rampage, torture and mutilate anyone who is a two bit brass.
Yes killing Tina was so short sighted. Michelle isn't all that so would have returned. She was the only new talent that Corrie have produced in about five years.

While I do agree that there are some weak characters, I think the biggest problems are the storylines. They are really dull and don't make you care about the characters. What do we have now? Tina's murder that isn't going anywhere and is just Peter being an alcoholic in jail (which is basically the same storyline as his previous alcoholic battles except it's in a jail setting), Tina's death was pretty much an accident and there was no real motivation for Rob killing her which takes away any excitement there, Angry Nick was funny for a bit but ultimately repetitive and didn't really go anywhere exciting, etc.

Your comments about dull characters very true. They are also boring and self centred. I am talking about characters here and not the actors/actresses themselves.

Absolutely agree. The storylines have been woeful all year and seem to make the characters featured more unlikeable than anything else.
For example, the Windasses. I actually thought the whole Phelan thing as well as Owen's bankruptcy was a really good idea but the amount of shouting, pouting and kicking off made it unwatchable - it was almost like the writers tried hard to make sure we felt no sympathy whatsoever for Owen and Gary especially. It could have actually been really good and if the writers have any sense they'd bring back Phelan IMO.
Leanne is another one who is coming across awful lately despite being one of the better actresses on the show. Anything involving Maddie, Michelle, Rita and Fiz this year have made them all unbearable. The Nazirs have to be some of the worst additions in recent memory, adding absolutely nothing to the street. Luke and Steph add nothing and neither does Andrea. Carla, Peter and Steve are the only ones that have been at the forefront that are still looking good and even Peter's just going round in circles now. Lesser used characters like Sally and Tim are great because Blackburn hasn't ruined public perception of them yet. Seriously the man needs to go!
