But didn't he say in a interview he starts self harming again.
I dunno Abbey, like I say one magazine reports that he will, nother magazine reports that he doesnt. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if its bought up again. Aaron's got a big storyline coming up at the end of the year so it may be connected...

It's a wonder that the Sharma's factory can stay in business, You've got Kerry on her god-knows-how-long holiday to Alicante, Lisa & Laurel working when they feel like it, Ali in the pub or the cafe with a face like a slapped arse cause Sean wants to go into the army.....

who is actually left in there? lol

Butler's Farm has a meat packing factory that supplies supermarkets, hotels, local pubs - and apparently Pete & James & Moira are the only ones working in it, when they're not driving tractors that is...........

Listen sheepie, I bought my current house on the basis that it was 'deceptively spacious'.

Boy was I deceived! I thought I'd do Edneh and Corrie's Eileen Grimshaw a favour and invite Harriet, Ash, Tootsie, Sean, and Todd to lodge with me, (and still have a spare room available for any passing random Tiny Firemen.

Imagine my horror when I subsequently discovered there was then no room left even in my 'large' garden shed for me! Bloody estate agents eh?

I sleep in Tootsie's baskets nowadays.

everyone seems to have an unlimited number of bedrooms in thier houses!!

there's no way those cottages in a small village like Emmerdale would have at least 4 bedrooms each!

How many people manage to get jobs without any interviews etc. being given? It seems all you have to do in Emmerdale is ask for a job and you get it strightaway regardless if you've even got any experience, and then there you are one episode later pulling pints/packing chocolate like you've been doing it all your life.

My favourite Marlon scenes are those where he is seated with his face buried deep in his hands.....

then I don't have to look at the overly contorted expression on his stupid face.

A small underpopulated village in the Yorkshire Dales that oddly contains:

A coffee shop that's daily always well stocked with cakes but is only frequented by a handful of villagers....there are more people behind the counter than there are customers

A beauty salon that's (yes...you guess it) only frequented by a handful of villagers

A transport business plus a motor repair concern that are in the middle of nowhere

A wedding business that's only got one customer

I'm sure there's more

David's shop, Mustn't bring that much money in from customers... how does he keep the business going?

one thing that does bug me is randomers are always looking after the bar instead of the actual bar staff doing it, Chas left it in the hands of Paddy last week so she could go to Butler's and see Aaron...And don't get me started on the amount of people who just saunter into Marlon's kitchen!

All the stuff on the shelves looks extremely expensive and consequently beyond the basic requirements of the ordinary shopper.

A garage that has zero passing trade, yet employs half a dozen mechanics.

The garage is believable - they are not generally businesses that rely on "passing" trade.
There is a local garage near to me - the village is no bigger than ED but the garage serves a reasonably large rural catchment area - in fact it's thriving so much that they've recently expanded their premises.
With many more country dwellers being "commuters" their car is important - and it's much better having a local garage than having to travel further afield for one.

The same village also has a "café"- but it relies heavily on tourist trade an closes during the winter.

It has a shop which is clinging on by the skin of it's teeth - it has been up for sale for years.

It also has Hotel which has a pub & restaurant - the restaurant serves decent food at reasonable prices and is always reasonably busy - the pub is fairly small but between locals & guests it's never empty

In a nutshell - Emmerdale does not do reality

Buy and sell houses and complete the transaction in one day

One couple due to get married and another takes its place in the church without the banns being read (Paddy and Emily)

and do not get me started on finances - how has Declan managed to get himself back on track when he should only have only been in the same financial situation as before the fire

No mention of how both Brenda and Sarah are recovering from their respective illnesses.

I could go on and on .......

Please do

The sheer number of times per month that the Police turn up in the village, mob handed and sirens blazing, and drag one villager or another off to Hotten Police Station. Well....shouldn't this undesireable Yorkshire community be served with an ASBO

I think Hotten police should be served with an ASBO - keep them away from the village

Seen a similar thread for Corrie and I don't think that Emmerdale have thier own thread for this yet.

I can't think of anything off the top of my head at the moment, so would someone like to get the ball rolling?
So it's fan fiction? I think there are already threads for that.

Please do ha ha!

Really silly trivial thngs here but...

the fact that Sean has been allowed to have alcohol in the pub these past few weeks is ridiculous. No landlady/landlord would risk thier license by serving a minor alcohol, regardless of whether its a shandy or not and Chas even let him have a sneaky pint on his Dad's stag do. - I know that in some pubs at landlord/lady discretion if a person under 18 has a meal, they can have ONE alcoholic drink to accompany it and even then it's normally a weak shandy, but IIRC, when Sean had these drinks they certainly weren't with a meal!

plus no kid seems to have a car seat/booster seat.

It's not fan fiction. Fan fiction is made up crap. This is a Suspension of Reality thread, listing actual examples of things that happen in ED which would never happen in real life.

Following Donna's death, surely April would inherit Donna's police pension and death benefits. So there was no need for Donna to become a bent cop.

Also before she transferred to her new station, would she have had a medical in which her illness would have been revealed

I can remember the days when if a Dingle was threatened, Zak would pick up the phone and a hundred armed Dingles would turn up in support. Nowadays, threaten Zak and he immediately hides behind Lisa's skirts or has a funny turn.

Whatever happened to the Dingle Clan
