Anyway to increase BT upload speeds (willing to pay for service)?
I am just starting up freelance working from home again after several months but am a bit concerned as to whether my internet connection speed is sufficient to handle the largish files I may have to deal with.
I have recently moved house and gone from an area with high speed fibre optic broadband to an area where this isn't available and as such my speeds are significantly lower than before. Downloading shouldn't be such a problem - I have gone from 30mbs downstream to between about 5bs and 8Mbs. In tests I have been able to download fairly large files in an acceptable time. Uploading finished work is more of a concern as the upstream is severally nobbled. Is there any solution for this? As the line can handle 5Mbs download speeds surely it can be opened up to provide similar, or at least better uploads? I would be willing to pay BT extra for this if it were an option... |

The other more realistic option is for Annex M to be enabled on the broadband. BT don't offer this so you would have to change supplier, and even then it may not give much benefit on a longer line. |

BT's business services may be able to help, but for a price as the previous poster said. Try http://business.bt.com/broadband-and...ed-lines/sdsl/ |
