Watch this clip of Frank and Pat's wedding, it's EastEnders at its best:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c4NjRD3mps

DTC should recreate this for the Carters with a large traditional East End-themed wedding/street party outside of the Vic. There'd be pearly kings and pearly queens, pie, mash and jellied eels would be served, old Cockney favourites would be played. How about Linda and Mick have a wedding. Linda agrees to marry Mick but in the end they can't go through with getting married but they have the wedding anyway. Or Shirley could marry Mick's dad Andy (hopefully, he'll be played by Ray Winstone). It would be really nice fun.

A wedding like that would be really fun! I was hoping they'd do something like this for phil and sharon and it would all go terrible wrong, but it seems like were getting a low key wedding (not too sure yet) but nothing much has been mentioned about it... They could do something like this for the 30th, however I think they need to wait for the carters to settle in and do it in about 3/4 years, I'd give kat and alfie a wedding like this over the carters!:P

No, they've been married once and they are both divorced. A Butcher style wedding should go to the Carters. They are the first family of Walford and why do they need to settle in, they already have!

Kat and Alfie can't afford a big wedding. They should prioritise extras for the twins over a lavish ceremony. I think a registry office ceremony would work for them, similar to Bradley and Stacey's in 2010. Both couples had the big wedding first time round, so why upstage it? Especially as the family presence would be somewhat lacking compared to the original.

I am no fan of the Carter dominance, but I do think they should have a big wedding if there is one.

I remember this one from 1989, a proper street party

I'd rather Kat and Alfie wait until next year before they remarry. Remember Alfie married Roxy last November as soon as his divorce from Kat came through. So if he was to remarry Kat tomorrow that would mean he has divorced, remarried, divorced and remarried all within the space of one year.

Nah... Phil and Shirley just isn't a thing anymore. Andy should be the one that Shirley marries if anything.

I hope he's decent, looking forward to his arrival.

Me too. Although, I'd like him to be a baddie that pulls Mick and Dean into his ways

That would be interesting, the need some new baddie blood on the square and Phil needs a proper rival! Though can he be nice to Shirley? Someone needs to be!

It depends on how they design the character to be honest, maybe he turns out to be a gangster, but desperate to win Shirley over, forcing Phil to up his game

That's a good theory. I wonder when and how he will arrive!

I was hoping for an appearance in 2015. Well, 'hoping' being the key word here.

Me too, might happen depending on the fallout of Shirley's Secret.
