I'm certainly curious about what he got up to during that unseen time - I reckon there's more to the train blowing-up and I suspect that there was more to his keeping Perkins around - plus it was interesting to note that Clara didn't wake-up in the Tardis.

Though the show did have the 11th Doctor mention that the Queen was still waiting for him to elope with her suggesting that as far as was concerned they had not yet got married.

I think he mentioned at some point she wasn't quite the 'Virgin Queen of England though'. I think what with the 11th Doctor being present at the wedding, he wouldn't remember it.
