If I was him I wouldn't, fair enough acting requires playing different characters, but what do people think of micks character? Does danny dyer like him? He's really soft, and this big family man, and has literally learned how to swim, which I thought was absolutely pathetic! I liked him at first, but they were very misleading? Anyone remember that cheeky grin on Christmas Day 'merry Christmas'? It was like 'wow he's gonna be a right one' and I'm really disappointed! I don't want him to be completely evil, but I hope this 'bad side' he has, starts to show soon!

What's everyone else thinking of mick, and do you think danny is happy with mick?

He wanted to play against type and he's achieved that. If I were him I'd leave as quickly as possible for 2 reasons.

1.Mick is a very bland character. He's essentially a less annoying version of Alfie.
2.Dyer will be typecast in this role. They're trying to turn him into Mr. EastEnders like Mike Reid's Frank Butcher. This will be hard to escape.

Dyer's career needed a boost and I think he's had that now.

WE need to care about the character by getting to know his warmer side. Theres a shed load of very dark gritty stuff coming up for him, including finding out about Linda's affair with Beppe Di Marco, and him people smuggling for extra cash, and killing Lucy to stop her spilling the beans about him buying one of her flats.

I have said this before, i personally don't see Danny Dyer sticking around for much more than 18 months or so. I just think he will get bored and want to move on to something else. I could of course be totally wrong, lets wait and see

I think there's always an opportunity to kill off Mick? I think there's always a plan if ever dyer wanted to leave, and I think mick could actually be killed after discovering shirley is his mother? Idk that's just a thought, but there's definitely a reason why they're building Linda's character so well, as this feisty, loving mom, it's asif they're doing it for if/when dyer decides he's had enough haha! I wouldn't miss mick at this rate though, he's boring and has added nothing to the show so far other than cringey stuff:P

Yeah that's what I think, they aren't even doing anything interesting with him? Give him a gun or something haha!

If he didn't like Mick I doubt he would be playing him.

The thing about the Carters is that without Mick they wouldn't work. So their whole future hangs on Danny staying.

Linda works better without mick, she'd be an independent woman, and if lee went, they'd work fine IMO! Shirley is the main carter idc what anyone says, the carters will always work if Shirley's around, she's granny carter after all haha!

I don't really agree. It would have been like saying the mitchell's couldn't have worked without Grant or the Fowlers couldn't have worked without Arthur. Characters leave, often big or very important characters leave but the remaining characters survive and evolve

do you know what typecast is? up to now danny dyer has been typecast as a hardman/gangster/football hooligan. so he is playing against type in this role and showing he can do other things.

as he will be in vendetta 2 next year he definately is becoming typecast as a family man

not sure you can be typecast as two completely different types at the same time or can you
