Tosh and Tina has to stop...
It's the most awful viewing ever! No one likes them as a couple and no one likes tosh!
She's completely brought Tina's character down aswell! And I think it's an absolute DISGRACE! Domestic abuse is a serious issue, they are given a chance to show a storyline where a same sex relationship has domestic abuse, and what development have we seen? We've seen tosh shove tina into a wall like once? As far as I'm concerned their pretty happy with eachover?:/ it's so pathetic, if you're gonna do this storyline, do it properly! Tosh has GOT to go! Her and lee have ruined a good family! Anybody else roll their eyes as soon as their names are mentioned in a spoiler? |

Do you ever say anything nice about the show?

Also domestic abuse happens over time, starting small and building up to bigger things in some cases. In other relationships, the abuser is just a bully. We need to see some of the normal, good times for the victim of the abuse to be believable, otherwise they'd just walk away.
I'm happy to let this slow burn. We have already seen Tosh be resentful of the rest of Tina's family (I suspect because she has a fractured relationship with her own), so all the signs are there that it's leading to something more. |

My only concern is that we shall just be given the lame excuse that Tosh's father is to blame for her being abusive. We have been there before. |

I don't think they're building up the abuse storyline coherently or successfully. A lot of the time, Tosh has come across as pretty reasonable and Tina has just acted like a simpering little woman child that we're expected to side with. Even Tosh shoving her against the door was more down to Tina clinging onto her when she was clearly upset than Tosh actually lashing out coldly.
I'm half wondering if maybe they've decided to abandon it to focus on this baby storyline instead. It could actually be a lot more interesting than a DA storyline if they explore it in an unbiased way: Tina saying she wants a baby with Tosh even though she's clearly not ready for it, and Tosh's anxiety about becoming a parent but wanting to rush into it because she thinks having a child would make her life more complete. It doesn't need the DA angle, there's plenty to be getting on with there. |

I like tosh, I just don't like her with Tina. I wish she had been brought in on her own.

But she's already abused her in the past off screen so I don't see what's so different now, and why it has to take a lot of time? It's silly if you ask me, they've made tina this little baby, and are trying to make tosh this mature woman who wants a child, it just don't work, everyone's bored of it! Look at this compared to little mo/Trevor! No more said!

I feel like I am the only one that likes Tosh.
I think the Carters give her a hard time to be honest. I'm not saying she is a saint as obviously she used to hit Tina but I feel like she is really trying this time. Not that is an excuse or justifies it in ANY way but Tina doesn't make it easy for her to stay calm either. Cheating on her, dealing drugs when they are trying to get a baby and just not taking thing seriously in general. I can see why Tosh gets wound up but as I said, that most certainly does not justify Domestic Abuse. So far, Tosh comes across as a generally likable person. |

I really don't think they are THAT bad! I find both characters quite acceptable and well-acted.
There are other characters I find less interesting such as Dean, Abi, and Max Branning! |

I love Tina (always liked Luisa Bradshaw-White as an actress) and I think Tina is a great character but Tosh is ruining her and dragging her down. I'd even prefer to see Tina with Sonia Fowler than boring Tosh.

As mentioned by several posters on this thread already, domestic abuse is often a long term thing. |

I guess it's easy to compare it to the domestic abuse storyline between Maxine and Patrick in Hollyoaks. The two storylines are quite different, and considering the Hollyoaks one was received quite well that's probably why the Tina and Tosh plot is getting a lot of negativity.

I know we're supposed to be Team Tina (because the Carters are DTC's royal family) but I find her childish, petulant and irritating and Tosh comes across as the more sympathetic character. |
