With an extended family in the square is it time to recast Zsa Zsa and bring her back?

I'll be honest, I did like Zsa Zsa as a character but she worked better without her family and we saw her as an individual whereas if she did return, it wouldn't work as well and I'd hate to see her be recast as I still remember Emer Kenny for the role and she is busy at the moment writing sitcoms like when she first left EastEnders.

I don't think she's necessary. There are enough capable actresses in that age group, and the angst between mother and offspring is quite enough with the Shirley creature and Dean.

Emer Kenny has written episodes featuring the Carters so she's still linked in with EE and DTC, if he sees the right opportunity, I'm sure he'll make it work to bring her back

Too many Carters. I'd swap her for Tosh, though.

I like the Carter's but there are far too many of them. No more should be added IMHO .

I think she is a weak writer.

Zsa Zsa should be brought back - you're 200% right - BUT you're absolutely wrong to say she needs to be recast. Emer Kenny is Zsa Zsa Carter.

No to a Zsa Zsa return.
That fact that Vaslav says No is a good reason why she should - and MUST - return.

No way, the last thing we need is ANOTHER carter, there's too much as it is! Once babe, lee, dean and tosh go, I suppose that would then be a good time to return!

Sorry but how do you know that Babe, Tosh and Dean will go anytime soon? The Carters are Walford's first family therefore all this 'ANOTHER carter business' is myopic nonsense. Zsa Zsa would put Tina on the map.

I liked ZsaZsa...(I've never spelt her name before, and I've never felt more ridiculous writing a name out )...but as others have said, we have far too many Carters on the square right now.

Far too many. How much is far too many? We have Stan, Shirley, Mick, Linda, Lee, Nancy, Johnny, Dean, Tina and Babe (who is really an Aunt Sal figure). The Beales when they were Walford's first family, used to have more than that: Lou, Pete, Kathy, Ian, Simon, Pauline, Arthur, Mark, Michelle, Vicki, Martin, Kenny, Elizabeth and Pat.

Wrong! We need more Carters. Linda's mum for one. Stan's OH for two.

I'm not opposed a return of the character but wouldn't welcome a recast. Emer Kenny successfully originated the role and made her a popular character in a short space of time.

If the actress cannot commit to a full time return ; i'd like to see a guest stint so we can see Tina/ Zsa Zsa scenes.

Agreed. A recast is so unnecessary because Emer Kenny = Zsa Zsa. She's a very good actress, she made Zsa Zsa a popular character AND she is SO hot.

THIS. Would love her to come back for a guest or regular stint, Tina needs some development and Zsa Zsa back on the square might allow this

Nope! Unless Emer Kenny returns to play Zsa Zsa, then in my eyes there's no point. She was brilliant and I hope she does decide to come back soon.

You can't really compare them. The Beale's all weren't one family they were divided into different family units, you had the Fowlers who were a family in their own right living at number 45, Pete, Kathy and Ian living off the square in Walford towers and then the Wicks branch of Pat and Simon at the Vic. Simon turned out not to even be a Beale and Pat was divorced from Pete and had been remarried and Kenny and Elizabeth were guest characters who only appeared very briefly. The Carter family are all one massive family unit all living together (with the exception of Tina although I guess she'll be back at the Vic soon enough when she splits from Tosh). There's too many of them and they're all under one roof and behave as one family.

Yes you can compare! They were not different family units, they were one big family living in different places (and Simon was a Beale). There were more Beales in the 1980s than Carters now so people should stop complaining. With the Carters you have most of them living in The Vic, Babe lives somewhere else in East London and Dean, Tina and Tosh live in their flat. There are not too many of them, you're argument doesn't stack up.
