Unable to complete @TV setup wizard
I've just bought an @tv plus box from Amazon and spent last night attempting to set it up.
I ran the set up wizard and all went ok until I got to the setup for Remote Viewing. This continually reports that it is unable to connect to the remote viewing server and that I should check whether I'm connected to internet etc. Obviously I am and I've tried rerunning the set up routine when only connected via wi-fi and then I also connected an ethernet cable from the @TV box to my router. Neither works. I can see on my router's admin pages that port forwarding has been set up so obviously the wizard is doing something but it just never completes. I've then had to exit the wizard. I tried viewing the @TV via the player on both my laptop and my ipad but both report that they can't find @TV. I'm assuming that this is because the wizard needs to complete for the settings to be saved. I know that the streaming was working as I can see it during the initial part of the set up wizard. The irony is that I don't actually want remote viewing, I only want to placeshift on my wi-fi network i.e. view the output of my Sky+ HD on a tablet. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Kevin |

TRy turning off router for at least 30 seconds, whilst this is off fire up @TV
then turn on the router, they should find each other If that does not work just set the 'port forwarding' manually in your router config page open port 56123 for UDP and TCP traffic open port 49177 to TCP save settings and reboot router, cross fingers

Thanks. I'll try that this evening when I get home.
I've done a bit more digging and I found that my router, TP Link TD-W8970 doesn't support nat loopback which may be why the wizard doesn't complete. I'm quite IT literate but I'm way out of my comfort zone when dealing with networking and the like. I have a feeling I may be returning the @tv to amazon as I don't think it's going to work on my network or at least I'm not going to get it to work. Kevin |

Spent hours looking at this with no success. Eventually reset the box to factory defaults, reran the setup wizard and it completed ok.
@TV now up and running. So can watch the output of my Sky+ box on my ipad. |
