Michelle hasn't folded her arms in a scene for ages now, yet it's dead noticeable that she really wants to.
Instead her arms seem to be hanging awkwardly in limbo down at her side, with her not quite knowing what to do with them.
It's stood out like a sore thumb lately, especially tonight.

Somebody's clearly had a word haven't they.

I have to admit that I have been on armwatch for a few episodes now and its just not happening anymore

I have been waiting with bated breath and alas nothing.... its strange but I even feel slightly disappointed that she's stopped doing it although their was a slight arm-fold in tonight's ep as she sat down and rested them on the table.

Maybe they do lurk here now if only they can work on Fizs caring voice

I'm sure somebody has been reading our comments about Michelle because so much has changed in recent months - no arm folding, reduced eye rolling and she even sometimes expresses affection towards Steve! She does look like she is at a loss as to what to do instead though.

Even her hair is more brown than black...she almost doesn't look as harsh...and she has been much nicer to Steve.

Yep she's defo mellowed towards Steve and it's so noticeable! For instance when he was moaning on and on about her bringing soapy water instead of 'rinsing' water, the 'old Michelle' would've just poured the water over Steve's head, and Liz would've been stood right behind giggling away whilst she and Michelle made jokes at Steve's expense!!!

They've toned Michelle's character down in recent months. She doesn't seem to fly off the handle, moan at every opportunity and make Steve feel so inferior. No relationship can last that long with the partner at it 24/7. Even Steve's presence made her itch.

Nu Michelle -- It's a start, but I would like her to move on and let Steve grow some backbone. He's so much better than a clown jester.

Corrie's writers and production team do read these very forums. They have in the past nicked a few nicknames.

Yes , Michelle's arm folding has been subjected to ridicule in the past and has definitely been toned down in recent episodes.
But now , in a I spy with my little eye kind of way , I find myself looking out for other cast members doing it.
For instance , in Wednesday's episode Luke does it once. Liz does it twice. Katy and Sophie do it in unison in a scene.

Michelle's acting capabilities know no bounds. Her appearances as an arm folder will be superseded by her appearances with a wedding folder.

The marriage of two murderers who shack up in a back street terraced house which isn't even theirs. They run a tacky pawn shop which does hardly any business and deals in dodgy goods.

Ludicrous wedding discussions mentioning a helicopter / castle / magician / doves / tigers / glass carriage / string quartet / harpist.

Might end up a prison wedding with Jim as barman.
