I detest Marlon & Laurel Thread!!
Please can the producers put these two characters on permanent leave.
I mean are we suppose to feel sorry for Marlon that he has lost Donna. Sorry I'm not. His constant woe is me attititude is getting very grating. Also Laurel with her doe eye looks when he talks about Donna. Yes, love he is still in love with his now dead ex wives. Serves you right for behaving like a right cow when Ashley went off the rails. |

Theses two have always been a ill matched pairing, surprised after SB left they kept them together.
Marlon is a selfish sod, everything has always been about him. |

The two of them deserve either other. Horrible self centered moany idiots. Ashley had a lucky escape. Why the hell is Marlon planning Donna's funeral? Surely it should be Bob?

Mr tickle is a dreadful character played by a dreadful "actor" and frankly Ross should beat seven bells out of him and then he should make way for a proper actor.. I can just about put up with Laurel as a character but she needs to be taught a proper lesson although staying with mr tickle could be considered a sufficient punishment

Those two scumbags are in their element at the moment; both absolutely love playing the martyr.
I’d like to ram Marvin’s head into his oven, and smash the door shut against it repeatedly until I was just too tired to carry on. Lauren meanwhile is never happier than when she has that self-appointed halo of hers wafting above her silly bonce. Even when that paragon of virtue tried to dismember some poor bugger with a pair of scissors, it wasn’t her fault. Oh no, nor was driving the village vicar insane, making him homeless, and nicking his ruddy kids. Nope, it was all some other sod’s fault that. |

Ooh I can see this being a popular thread! $
I can't stand either of them anymore which is a real shame as I used to like them both but their 'love story' and the butchering of Ashley's character and mishandling of what could and should have been a very good, relevent and without wanting to sound pious, important storyline about abuse of elderly parentsby their children / carers just to make Maurel look like they weren't cheating was horrible. I don't think Marlon is still in love with Donna by the way, but he does retain a love for her so is understandably distraught at her dying which I think is fair enough about an ex spouse. That level of affection doesn't completely disappear - doesn't mean you want to be with them but you do still care. However Laurel is so bizarre about Ashley that she clearly doesn't get that. |

Marlon needs the proverbial brutal, bloody, barbaric toecapping. That's not in dispute. However, I feel the vitriol for Laurel, one of soap's very, very, very sexiest minxes, is wholly misplaced. A woman who just radiates sex appeal. We'll have no more negativity please because I can find out where you all live.

I never liked the pairing of Marlon and Laurel. But I thought I'd get used to it...eventually!
But this recent tragedy has turned me off them COMPLETELY! Why is Marlon so obsessed with accusing Ross of being the bad one in this? (I know Ross isn't exactly innocent - but he had nothing to do with the death!) Laurel is just as stupid putting up with Marlon's reactions - bit OTT to say the least. He's got two dead wives now.....Laurel better watch out

At last, after the Emmerdale SOR thread, this has been on my wish list for years.
How I hate this pair with every fibre of my being. Who gave Moron the right to run the funeral, saying who can and cannot attend. Listen fool, anyone can attend a funeral, and all the screaming and bellowing in the world will not change that. Way to go Ross. As to shouting at Bob, Donna's stepdad, someone, please anyone, hopefully Ross gives him the biggest battering of his sad and useless life. People are letting him get away with murders because he is so deep in grief for his ex wife, who cheated on him and then ran off with the (red hot) copper, since then he had an affair with Rhona resulting in little Leo, then stole the scarecrow from the adverts Loopy Laurel from her husband Ashley, thereby breaking up her marriage and splitting two children from their father, and don't forget his obsession/passion for Moira whilst she was still married to the god like John. All the above are the love of Moron's life. Idiot. I hope that April turns out to belong to the aforesaid copper. Moron will then go into overdrive/meltdown and hopefully he will wave his arms until he disappears up his own cakehole. |

I do have to admit to be utterly flummoxed as to why Marlon is organising the funeral. Yes he is her ex husband and her child's father but he no longer has any legal connection to her. I would have thought her next of kin would be Scott, Kelly or Bob - she'd probably have named Bob since he was nearby and the Police going to him to notify her death would suggest he was listed as her emergency contact. Marlon should have the final say over April, whether she goes etc but he could include Bob rather more than he does.
To play devils advocate re Ross, I have a little more sympathy for Marlon and Laurel here. I don't actually think I'd just be able to forgive and forget my carjacker either and wouldn't want them near my young child and whilst we've seen the care and affection he showed Donna (and by proxy April) Marlon hasn't. Ross could be lying or at least exagerrating the depth of their affair and bond. But, that said, he doesn't really have the right to ban anybody from her funeral if they want to pay their respects. |

The pair of judgmental, mealy-mouthed scum need to wind their necks in, and get over themselves. And Laurel should think herself lucky that she didn't get a well-deserved jail sentence for attacking poor Ross with those scissors. Besides, the daft cow should've kept the car doors locked in the first place. The mean streets of Hotten are not the place to be at the best of times!! |
