Is it a bit extreme to say Jim ruined their lives?, she seemed more sympathetic towards him during the 2011 robbery storyline itself (very amusing to watch!), it seemed overly cruel for Liz to want to cut Jim out completely, most families would stick by someone who goes to prison, even for armed robbery. It does explain what was a plotline up to now of Steve never bothering to see Jim in prison which I wondered about before this admittedly quite intriguing storyline where Jim actually meets Peter Barlow in prison came up.
Of course everything in Corrie happens for maximum conflict.
Also I can't be the only one that wants to see Coronation Street get its own proper sub forum, as I can't be the only one who doesn't watch Eastenders or Emmerdale and it's a bit annoying wading through the soaps forum having tp pick out the Coronation Street threads.

Jim is a wife beating, criminal, violent to anyone who crosses him, and now manipulative evil 'Landlord' in the nick, where he belongs and should stay forever. (He is also one of the most irritating and annoying characters in soap, EVAH!)
If anything, her worst crime is being terminally needy, clingy and utterly dependent on men to boost her self-esteem. Which is sad really.
) This makes me think that there is still a spark between them, as Jim said last night.
