why do channel 5 give the crowd so much power.

yet again we have to put up with the housemates banging on about the crowd reactions etc etc.

kellie even said she was going to change her behaviour

this is not what we want !!!!!

i long for them to do just one series without allowing the boo's and cheers to be audible to the house.

Crowd response should be classed as outside influence, Emma should should be heard without the crowd

BBAU has their audience STFU during live shows. It's not a hard concept to implement. That just tells me that the producers want the show to be panto.

In early BBs there wasn't even a proper audience!!

didn't we have one series on C4 where the announcements were made inside the studio so the crowd couldn't be heard ?

I like the crowd noise, as long as the crowd agree with me.

Also, it's not like the pack of wild dogs they have chained up outside the studio represents the general voting public. Frenchy got the biggest barrage of boos and she was saved. I don't see the point of it.

I like to see the look of dismay on their faces when the crowd boos their name.

I think the only housemate that should hear their crowd noise is the one being evicted.

Don't BB realize that the housemates having very little information and having no clue how popular they really are will be better longterm than constant updates of who is liked and who isn't.

BBAUS is superior in every way over our version. The audience being one of them.

I've said that for years......no reason why she can't do her pieces to the house in the studio somewhere - they OBVIOUSLY mean it to be a part of the format.

Well apparently the producers didn't like it when it was used for 2 series near the end of the C4 era. Frankly I thought it was far better. If they want atmosphere add some tense music.

I'm with you all. If a housemate gets Booed, housemate adjusts behaviour and is more subdued and boring as a result, not good. Play some false crowd in (cheers for the bad guys) and then lets watch them get carried away with their egos. Also, the housemates would never trust crowd reaction again if BB started messing with it.

Yes. Much better if the HMs have no idea of whether they are popular or not. James got so many boos that he will modify his behavious in the hope of being liked.\it can also influence nominations. HMs will now know that if they nominate James he might well be the next to be evicted.

I've been saying this for years. Go back to the links with the house being done in the studio

Remember the original house and the long walk over the bridge to the studio?
Things were much better then.

In the first series, didn't they all jump out of the same mini bus and filed into the house with their suit cases?

Which brings me on to the whole might not get your suit case thing. It's boring now. Someone should threaten to walk on launch night if they don't get their case and have all the others follow. That would get the cases in the house faster than Usain Bolt on the 100 metre track with no headwind

BBUS still has the mass entry thing with all houseguest going in as a group, or as two groups. I like it actually, seems less contrived whereas BBUK is already making Z-Listers out of nobodies from the launch night fanfare.

I am not sure that stands up because he hasn't. Nominating immediately after James was booed he received no nominations.

I agree however in many circumstances that the crowd clearly influence nominations and personally i would still prefer the crowd were not heard. It is obvious at the moment that the announcements are designed to milk the crowd reaction.

I kind of like the fact he said 'I don't give a f**k about the boos if its anything to do with my behaviour as I'm not changing' or somthing along those lines.
The complete opposite of the Power Trip lot who just seemed to obsess over every single bloody day.

The two aren't comparable I'm afraid; BBUS is the worst TV show I've ever seen.

There's way too much outside influence. There's also way too much letting them see and hear what they've said about each other. It's too engineered for fake drama and arguments

The crowd is part of the panto
I do not always agree with them though

It would be much better if the first they knew of the public's perception of them was the moment they opened the doors to boot them out.

Would increase the shock for the HM's left too.

A completely different show could let them have all the feedback they want, and we would watch them squirm to be likeable.

I would enjoy that.

I don't think anyone's saying get rid of the crowd (although it would not bother me )
Just don't let the housemates hear them till the doors open for the evictee.
