Ok so I know these guys havent been on yet BUT there is quite some buzz around them this year, so I thought I'd start and Appreciation Thread early on to help them out and to get them some buzz on here!

So who exactly ARE OTY?

Made up of boys Mikey Bromley, 19, and Charlie George,17, and girls Parisa Tarjomani, 20, and Betsy-Blue English, 18 - Only The Young are essentially the new Abba with their infectious pop sound. Minus the crazy outfits and dodgy marriages, of course.

I'm really excited about OTY being on xfactor, really looking forward to their audition tonight.

I've followed them their progress since they first got together as I know of one of the girls in the band Betsy-Blue and they've come on a lot. They're actually really good and it's nice to have something different with a mixed group.

I love how well they all get on and they don't take themselves too seriously

we have 1 hour and a half until the x factor when they will be on

Very impressed by the audition,I might join on board.
Considering that I'm an Anti-one direction and also I was glad of the split of the Wanted earlier in the year,I did not expect to enjoy this but these people seem really nice and can sing
Also like the idea of mixed group.

Gutting their 2nd audition wasn't shown.

I was so disappointed they didn't show their arena audition, I was looking forward to it the most. Apparently it was a mashup of The Who's My Generation and Miley Cyrus' We Can't Stop (which sounds interesting!) and was one of the highlights of the day according to someone who was in the audience. Hope this doesn't mean they aren't through to the lives.

I'm almost certain hey are through. Hopefully they are going to be shown loads at bootcamp

I believe the groups will be shown last so on sunday i'm guessing?!?!

Sounds really good, hopefully they get more airtime tonight than they have had at the arenas and bootcamp.

Just got round to watching Friday's xtra factor. They showed really small clips of the arena audition and the 2nd judges house song. I hope they get shown in full at some point.

I like them but i've agree with Tulisa about lack of edge in their style. I appreciate their song choices, at least it's not the previsible ones. For me, the brunettes of the group are my faves

Is it bad that I want OTY to sing "Mamma Mia" by ABBA for #1s week? It would be so perfect and was a UK #1 of course. Screw them not having an edge. Who needs one? Same Difference made it almost all the way being their happy and adorable selves the whole time so why can't OTY? Wishing them all the best!
