the Arena Football League starts on March 27th - does anyone know if any games will be shown in the UK?

I had a quick look at the schedules on Eurosport and ESPN UK but I couldnt see anything in their schedules
It's on Filmon.tv on Sky
No idea of their channel number. They have a live game around midnight every night over the weekend.

It's Sky channel 237.

The AFL games listed are

Fri 11.30pm Cleveland at Tampa Bay
Sun 2.00am Spokane at Arizona
Mon 12am Philadelphia at Orlando
Tue 2.30am San Jose at Las Vegas

I noticed earlier in the week that "arena football league" was coming up on the Sky EPG search but that was before the games were added in the listings. The season runs through August effectively ending at start of the NFL/college games. I wonder, does anybody know any further details about the coverage?

Well, they didn't show any of it just "battlecam" throughout the time slot.

I did try to find out some more info in the week (by contacting the league and the channel via email) but received no response. There doesn't seem to be any more info available than the Sky EPG listings. Did anybody else try to find out more about the (supposed) coverage (and find out any more info)?

Slightly off topic but at the owners meetings this week it came out there are 40,000 people in the south east who buy tickets for every London NFL game, so it's assumed there are 40k people out there who are highly likely to buy season tickets for the London Jaguars.

So if you're in the 40k, come 2022 when we are having to watch a 2-14 London team every week on tv, I'm blaming you.

Yeah I checked at 1130, nothing then at kickoff time there was nothing either. Very annoying.

Change that figure to 39,999!! I won't be getting a Jags season ticket! I suspect I will not be in a minority either.

Same as me I won't buy a 10 game Jags season ticket especially at the prices they want.

Did you get the NFLUK survey were they are proposing to follow some existing NFL teams where you pay twice. Once an upfront between £5k and £10k to give you rights to a particular seat in the stadium and then another £1k a year (£100 per game) for an upper tier at the front by centre line for the actual match tickets.

I know Sussex cricket did this when they build a new stand at the far opposite the pavilion. A work colleague did this where there was an upfront fee for your named seat but then you have to keep on paying for a season ticket each year to actual use the seat and watch the games.

I'd be tempted to get a ST, but not if I had to pay a seat license first. Its quite a common thing in the US, where seat licenses pay a large amount of new stadium costs - but its not really done here, and the NFL doesn't have the demand here to risk attempting it.

It is on Sky Sports 3 - as that channel is carrying non-stop NFL programme

If it on Sky Sports 1 - as some platforms are only provided Sky Sports 1 and 2.

Imagine the uproar should a scheme be introduced by any of the Premier League clubs, ST prices are pricey enough without having to by rights for the seat.

24 hours of pre-draft coverage... and then they only show the first round and look like they plan on making a mess of that too.

Come on, we all know Sky don't care about the NFL..just minimal programming.

It's like the NFL does nothing after the Super Bowl, according to Sky.

They want to grow the game in the UK, then they have no chance with Sky. Sky should at least show the second round of the draft.

Anyway, once the draft is complete, nothing on Sky until September...

Remember in the past, we had NFL all though the off season...before Sky / NFLUK thought better...

I'd love to know the details of the deal Sky and the NFL have, how much, if anything, they pay for the rights, what the NFL want them to show and what Sky agree to show. How much of their programming is paid for by NFL (eg the getting guests over for the shows from the NFL media camp thing they do)? How the Gamepass blackout rule is negotiated etc...
Who needs who more? (my suspicion is that NFLuk think they need Sky more than Sky think they need the NFL)

Tottenham have agreed a deal with the NFL to stage a minimum of two American football games a season at their new stadium.
The 61,000 capacity venue - due to open in 2018 - will feature a retractable grass pitch with an artificial surface underneath usable for NFL games.
"We have an opportunity now to deliver one of the most unique sports, leisure and entertainment venues in the world, bringing together the Premier League and NFL for the first time," said Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.

Could be both.

The Tottenham deal is non-exclusive so games can also be played elsewhere.

Wembley are still in the running, with also Twickenham and Cardiff.

Don't care about Sky, refuse to be blackmailed into a pay-tv subscription.

Does anyone know if Channel 4 have retained the rights to the Sunday Night Football regular season games for a sixth season ?

And secondly, have they still got the broadcast rights to the Super Bowl and the three Wembley games ?

Likely wouldn't be announced till closer to the time. Their last deal in 2013 was announced on 30th August when that season started 5th September.

I would guess probably, at least in terms of Sunday nights. NFL presumably want some kind of free to air coverage and Sky don't appear to care about games with 1am UK time starts.

I won't be buying tickets to the Tottenham games. Travelling from Sheffield, Wembley has great links and I can be on the M1 within 15 mins of the game ending. It would have been nice to try out a game at Old Trafford (see how many London fans really are dedicated).
