Anyone know why Sky have changed the way they handle the red button for NFL? Used to be that you had a menu option where you could toggle between the main Sky feed (in HD) and RedZone by pressing 1 and 2 but for the last few weeks it has just been RedZone on it's own behind the red button. Quite annoying as it was nice being able to flick back to the HD feed occasionally without taking 30 seconds to go in and out of the red button.

Like the post two posts ago said, it's because the Formula 1 (which has been having a few late Sunday races recently in USA, Mexico & Brazil) requires so many red button feeds that the above hasn't been technically possible for bandwidth reasons. Might revert to normal next week.

Is it my imagaination or are Sky choosing games later in the week.

Admittedly I only watched from about 10 pm last night but I saw clues as to what next weeks games are. I know Thursday is a given because it is on NFL network and was chosen at the start of the season but does any one know what nest weeks Sunday games are?
Broncos@Bears and Packers@Vikings.

They generally pick them on a Monday to pick the most 'attractive' match-ups.

Must have changed then because I'm certain they would trail next weeks games during the Sunday games.

With the news that Manning was playing hurt and may not make next week the first game could be quite intriguing.

If Buck/Aikman aren't on the second I will be amazed

Pretty sure they are, from memory Buck mentioned it during the Green Bay game a couple of weeks ago

The Packers/Vikings game is FOX's National game so it will be Buck/Aikman.

No pre game show for Thursday Night Football on SkY this week which is weird, although next week it's the Thanksgiving games so no pre game show as NBC has the Thursday Night Football next week & a couple of early games.

Correct. Full line up's listed below;

Fri 01:30 Tennessee @ Jacksonville - NFL Network - Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, Tracy Wolfson.
Sun 18:00 - Denver @ Chicago - CBS -Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts, Evan Washburn.
Sun 21:25 - Green Bay @ Minnesota - Fox - Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews.
Mon 01:30 - Cincinnati @ Arizona - NBC - Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michele Tafoya.
Tue 01:30 -Buffalo @ New England - ESPN - Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden, Lisa Salters.

In America it's a Fox doubleheader week with Washington @ Carolina followed by Green Bay @ Minnesota as the primary matches. CBS has regional action with most areas getting Denver @ Chicago. The SNF match has been flexed. It was originally going to be Kansas @ San Diego. CBS will now cover that game in some regions in the late slot. Coverage maps at http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2015&wk=11

Thurs 17:30 - Philadelphia @ Detroit - Fox - Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews.
Thurs 21:30 - Carolina @ Dallas - CBS - Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, Tracy Wolfson.

No F1 this week but still no menu choice behind the red button

Just got a TV Guide and it brought to my attention that the Broncos and Patriots game will be shown on Sky1 this Sunday/Monday at 12:30am.

The BBC might as well not bother.
Too little game footage and too many "talking heads," and other stuff for the time devoted to the programme..

Think i've seen it all, tweet to the studio tweeting who's going to carve the Turkey, nothing about the actual game.

When whoever it was (and full credit to them) tweeted in the question during last nights Green Bay-Chicago game, 'What do you think about the pedestrianisation of Norwich City centre?' and Cadle read it out deadpan I realised (whilst chuckling away) that he actually doesn't have a clue what he's doing. He simply read what was infront of him, and never actually grasped whilst he was speaking that it was a joke tweet. Did the production team stick it in to catch him out? If so, brilliantly done, but proved that he isn't actually paying attention half the time. Cecil Martin ad-libbing that he'd 'heard about this, and it's a complex issue' was brilliant though.

Surely Sky hit a new low last night when Cadle gave "presents" to the other three and them opening to reveal a copy of his recently-released book? I guess sales haven't gone too well...

Haha that's also pure Partridge. Surely it was deliberate but then I've read Richard Key's blog so who knows what these TV sports guys are really like.

I thought I would mention whilst I'm here but RedZone is being shown on Sky Sports 5 tomorrow at 6pm and presumably in HD with it being on the main Sky Sports channels

Are we sure the above is correct? The NFL Forums have declared that the TV games on Sunday are:

Seahawks at Vikings - Sun 6 Dec 18:00
Panthers at Saints - Sun 6 Dec 21.25

Another week with no menu option behind the red button. Starting to look like this is just the way it's going to be going forward. Shame, especially with Jeff Reinebold back in the studio now I'd like to dip in to some of his analysis.

Anyone else have their Sky+ recording abruptly end early in the 4th quarter of MNF this week?

Week 14 Commentary teams

Fri 01:25 - Minnesota @ Arizona - NFL NET Jim Nantz, Phil Simms, Tracy Wolfson.
Sun 18:00 - Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati - CBS - Greg Gumbel, Trent Green, Jamie Erdahl.
Sun 21:25 - Dallas @ Green Bay - Fox - Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Erin Andrews.
Mon 01:30 - New England @ Houston - NBC - Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michele Tafoya.
Tue 01:30- NY GIants @ Miami - ESPN - Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden, Lisa Salters.

In America it's a Fox double header featuring Atlanta @ Carolina and Dallas @ Green Bay as the primary games. CBS has regional action with Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati being the primary game. SNF football has been flexed this week. Seattle @ Baltimore which was originally scheduled now becomes an early fixture on Fox. Coverage maps can be found at http://506sports.com/nfl.php?yr=2015&wk=14

I'm surprised that Fox has picked Dallas @ Green Bay as "America's Game of the Week". I'd have thought that Fox may have moved the Carolina game into the late slot? Clearly Dallas are still a big television draw.

There's not going to be a lot for Redzone to cover in the late slot this week. Does anyone know if Sky have the option to scrap Redzone on the occasions when there are only two matches to choose from? Surely it would make more sense to show both games live, with one being behind the red button or on another Sky channel? Incidentally alongside the coverage on the Sky Sports channels, Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati will be simulcast on Sky 2, and as ThomasStirk spotted a few weeks ago - SNF will be simulcast on Sky 1.
