I'm surprised that Fox has picked Dallas @ Green Bay as "America's Game of the Week". I'd have thought that Fox may have moved the Carolina game into the late slot? Clearly Dallas are still a big television draw.
Both Dallas and Green Bay are still huge market draws and it's guaranteed to get good ratings figures. Was very little chance it got altered. Plus on the face of it it's still an important game playoff wise, Green Bay in the fight for the North and (despite their record and struggles) Dallas are now only a game out of first place in the East.

Spot on. Dallas at Green Bay will get huge ratings for FOX, and despite Dallas being 4-8 it is still a game with quite alot riding on it. As it stands, 7-9 would probably win the NFC East so Dallas are alive at this moment. Plus, Green Bay are fighting for their division and potentially still the #2 seed. Add in the added selling point of what happened the last time these two teams played in the Divisional Round last year, and it only adds to the selling point of the game.

It's Dallas, it's Green Bay, it's Lambeau Field, it's pure ratings.

Side note to tonight's MNF,

If the Giants win their Week 16 game against Minnesota will be moved to SNF, if they lose/tie it will be Pittsburgh @ Baltimore on SNF

I'm not sure if I asked this before but what do the NFL broadcasts on UK TV look like? Is it a proper different world feed or does Sky Sports just take the American broadcast as is?

I vaguely remember an article about this past years super bowl where they had a presence on site in Arizona. I think it included in vision play by play.

We take the CBS/FOX/NBC/ESPN game coverage with Nantz/Sims. Buck/Aikman, Michaels/Collinsworth, Tarrico/Gruden etc and simply cut to our own studio coverage or ads during commercial breaks (no UK studio coverage though during late games - highlights segments and ads instead). Late games generally also take the relevant network's half time show but end immediately when the game is over (no UK studio coverage or network post game shows). We also get NFL Red Zone on a Sunday. Our own coverage of the early Sunday games starts 30 mins before kick off. For the Superbowl Sky always have a presenter team on site at the stadium but primary commentary is from the relevant US network team.

Two weeks in a row. Wonder if it's a panic move to try bolstering dreadful viewing figures of the live games on Sky Sports this year?

I just took a look and it isn't on my EPG (Sky). Have they changed their minds?

Not on mine as well, looks like it's exclusive to Sky Sports 2.

PS: RedZone is on Sky Sports 5 at 6pm tonight

He said on Twitter that he was having a break from presenting, I assume he will be back in the New Year.

She is excellent, but it is odd that he is taking a break at the business end if the season, and also that the new host or Neil wouldn't mention it if it was just a couple of weeks off..

He does seem to be travelling around the UK a lot with his book launch but I don't think we'll see him again on SKY

Absolutely correct ... and, indeed, he was at a book-signing session at a London basketball game last Sunday (it's written in collaboration with a long-standing British basketball journalist Paul New) so I suspect he's doing the same this weekend as a way to boost sales in the run-up to Christmas.

Agreed, if only this was permanent. But, because it's Sky Sports' NFL coverage, it won't be.

That Kevin Cadle is apparently on a UK book tour at the sharp end of the season sums up his devotion to the NFL.

It does seem odd to me that Sky would let him take time off part way through the season and not mention it, I think it might well be an improvement if the changes on the show stayed permanent.
