BBC taking NFL Network feed.
Sky using CBS

BBC takes world feed (with NFL Network graphics).

CBS has new graphics with bar along bottom rather than top.

BBC aren't showing the CBS version, their DOG says NFL network.

A little distracting, especially with the Sky graphic at the top left and the CBS/Super Bowl 50 logo at the top right. Would be nice if Sky went without theirs for once.

Though ironically, NFL Network isn't showing the game

Slight surprised BBC are taking the NFL Network / World Feed, aside from their first Super Bowl (2006?) they've always taken the US Network feed. They may have just decided the world feed is easier from a production point of view - it has a fixed number of fixed length ad breaks- so they always know how long there is to fill. Or it may be that it features less (or no) commercial messages so is also easier (and 'safer') from that point of view. Gives people with Sky Sports a choice as well I guess.

I've enjoyed the more relaxed style of the BBC highlights show but can understand it's not for everyone. Having Mike Carlson today is a big bonus.

A nice addition to the confusion LOL!

Though at least the CBS bar is very near the bottom of the screen.

The NFL Network bar is a long way up from the bottom.

I assume these must be the reasons, but it's a shame still. Takes away the big game feel a little.

Like the new CBS graphics but just wish they were on top and not covering the players during a play!

ESPN, NBC and NFL Network have their graphics there and i agree, it gets in the way.
You have that huge open space at the top, use it!!
Something i wish BT would do with their football coverage but seems TV bosses couldn't care less these days

I agree with you on the NFLN scorebar being in a horrible position. However, Charles Davis is a major upgrade on Phil Simms on colour in my view, so I'm going BBC.

Also, for me Cadle & Kennedy are equally as bad as each other, another reason to give the BBC coverage a try.

I'll be delighted if this signals the end of the Cadle era.

Wasn't overly impressed with the NFL Network feed to be honest.

Didn't seem to be half the replays there normally are

Did anyone else notice Mile Carlson reference the fake tweets Sky have been using ?

Apparently he was watching SB50 in an Irish bar in Barcelona. Make of that what you will

For the casual viewer it makes no real difference whether you were watching the world feed or the CBS feed, as you probably don't care and are just watching for the experience. For the dedicated NFL fan however it can make a bigger difference. I want to be watching what people in America are watching, and so for me it was Sky Sports coverage last night with the CBS feed. The BBC off field stuff was better, as they had the better studio analysts and it was a bit more fun from bits I saw from switching during breaks, but they lost me from watching the actual game with them because of the feed.

They were answering a few Twitter questions, think Chapman said something along the lines of "did you ask that on your other handle", to which Carlson said "we don't do that here."

When i flicked over to BBC, Carlsson seemed to barely be able to get a word in or do any analysis of the plays. His presence was wasted last night there.

I wonder if Chappers was in on that. Great spot.

Have to agree, Mike wasn't his usual self. He was very under used, although I did like the two former players.

Rumour has that kev is retiring and the new girl Dara is being given her marching orders. Not sure who the new main presenter will be.

Interesting news if true. Obviously Dara will have failed her few weeks audition as it was maybe her job to lose unless she didn't fancy moving to the UK?

Sky could simplify things by having Neil as main presenter and just having one guest per week, such as Gayle or Reinbold, after his CFL commitments end.

I've always thought Neil as a better host than expert analyst as he always wants to get his word in rather than leave it to the real experts such as those who have played or coached the game at a higher level.

One problem for me with Neil as host, his constant plugging of the UK games and UK NFL franchise would annoy me!

We'll see, as long as they don't give it to Jim White, LOL.

I thought Dara was excellent but apparently she didnt prove too popular with those who make the decsions.

I actually like Neil as guest/analyst/link with Geoff so I would prefer he stay in that role.

I can't see plugs for London games getting any fewer with a game at Twickenham this year to freshen things up.

Dara was awful, she seemed awkward and could barely string a sentence together without making a mistake.
