Think the JAX games have done alright in spite of them not because of them.
On most occasions the NFL have had a marquee name as the opposition. In 2014 when the Cowboys were the opposition I thought I was at AT&T!!!

C'mon, the Jags are 'London's team'. We're all crazy about them in the UK!

As long as we still get the option of RedZone instead, I'm not especially bothered. My big beef in the past is that they ditched the Red button coverage of RedZone when the Wembley games were on.

My understanding is that if a team wants to bid for a Super Bowl they must also be prepared to play a "home" game at Wembley. That, I believe rules out Dallas and NE as the owners have said they don't want to do that. Green Bay will almost certainly never host a Super Bowl but given the unique way GB is owned they won't do it anyway.
NE and DAL have played in the UK but as the "away" team. The other thing you have to consider I guess is eg that the Browns are currently so bad that people might consider the game to be a blow out and ticket sales would struggle I don't hold out much hope we will see the Pack in London any time soon, but it does seem a little odd with virtually all the other "big" NFL teams having made the trip over. |

Reynolds was at his most NFLUK stooge like last night. Basically having a pop at the nine NFL teams who haven't signed up for a London game yet. 'They should be lining up to play here!'. Why exactly? As a Green Bay fan, why should I want the Packers to voluntarily give up a game at Lambeau to play at Wembley or Tottenham in front of loads of neutral fans? He also said that the NFL was going from strength to strength in the UK, but viewer figures don't really prove that.
And his 'investigations' into the NFL changing the kick off times for the London games was fantastic. He has been snooping around, or probably just checking the internet where the story has been for over a week! I used to like it when the London games were over because Sky generally then put it to bed for the season, but this year they can't help themselves. |

Roger Goodell is pleased to announce there are four London games next year, matches to be announced at 1pm next Tuesday.
Neil will be so happy. We should all tweet him asking when tickets go on sale.

![]() Almost a quarter of the season. Why they would take the Red Zone option away as a means to try to force fans to watch the London game/boost the pretty modest ratings is beyond me. If they make that decision, if it's a crummy match-up in the London game I just won't watch any NFL at all that evening. |

With most of the games being on Saturday next weekend, will there be a RedZone programme? Sky Sports Mix doesn't seem to be showing it.

Fingers crossed it's just that. The stuff currently listed for that slot is just the bog standard filler programming so it's not as if RedZone is being squeezed out by them wanting to simulcast the darts or something else live on Mix.
Hopefully it will update at some point in the week and the 'seven hours of commercial free football' will appear. |

Have Sky announced what their picks are for Saturday as the schedule just says NFL at the moment for both the 17:30 and 21:00 slots?

The Christmas day games are fantastic. Love the 9:30 start as well, just when you've had enough of the family you can leave them watching Christmas Eastenders or whatever other rubbish is on and watch two huge games.

The "sit back, enjoy the game & see who wins" break bumper annoys the piss out of me. To paraphrase Billy Connolly, it's not I'm reading War and Peace during the game so I can avoid finding out who wins.
Merry Christmas everyone. |
