KIRKWOOD RESIGNS

It's been confirmed by the Daily Mail that Bryan Kirkwood has resigned from his role as executive producer of Eastenders, in order to go back to Hollyoaks as their head writer. He will be replace by George Rose, who has vowed to make the programme a lot more darker.

"I have a lot of huge, huge plans for the show, Said rose. There are several mouth-watering Storylines to look forward to, including Jay Brown's money storyline getting bigger and better, and a massive stunt, quite possibly the biggest stunt that's ever been done in soap opera history".

He is in talks with John Altman, who played Nasty Nick Cotton in the show, in order for him to return to the show for a very big storyline apparently. And he is also said to be planning another huge storyline for the show, but he won't say what it is yet.

Rose is in secret talks with the BBC about possibly taking Eastenders to a Unidentified location for a special week of episodes, the location is rumoured to possibly be Bristol. But we could be wrong.

We don't know what's going to happen, but with Mr Rose at the helm, the future for Eastenders is looking very bright indeed!

AN INTERVIEW WITH THE NEW EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF EASTENDERS- GEORGE ROSE

Just last week, he was unveiled by the BBC as the new head of Eastenders, and he's got very big plans for the show indeed. Legendary broadcaster Sir Trevor Mcdonald sat down for an interview for GQ Magazine to see what the Yorkshireman's plans are for the BBC Soap.

TM: "When you were got the call saying that you were the new Executive Producer of Eastenders, how did you feel?"

GR: " Well Trevor, I wasn't surprised to say the least. I mean, I started as an Apprentice for the BBC after leaving school, and look where I am now. The BBC were quite impressed with my ideas and dreams when I arrived at the Beeb, and I remember talking to one of the executives just before they hired me to be EP Of the show they call Eastenders, and he said that the BBC had huge plans for me, and it didn't really come as a huge shock when they hired me".

TM: "Let's get to the point shall we, what plans do you have for the show now that you're in charge"?

GR: " I have huge plans for the show now that I'm in charge, the Jay Brown Money storyline is to be taken in another direction. And I've already convinced Nicholas Ball to come back as Jay's dad's killer, Terry Bates. The relationship between Jay and the Bunny-boiler Faye Wilcox is going to be taken in another direction. And it's gonna be a huge, huge story arc for Jay let me tell you".

TM: "What about the recent rumours that you're in secret talks with John Altman' who played Nick Cotton in the show. Are those rumours true"?

GR: "They are very true indeed Trevor. I've spoken to John about it already, we met up at a cafe in South London the other day. He is very interested in coming back, the storyline that I have in mind for Nick is very big and unusual. It isn't the usual " Nick's back and he's after Dot's money storyline". It's a storyline that sees Nick become more evil and ruthless that he usually is, obviously I won't tell you what the storyline is for Nick, but it's a very interesting one indeed".

TM: " Is it true that you're planning a whodunit storyline"?

GR: " It's not exactly a whodunit, but there's gonna be a Serial Rapist lurking around the square. I've already chosen who it's going to be, and it's going to be a big surprise when it's revealed who the racist really is".

Come back in a few days for the next part of the interview.
