They'll probably come back to that. Personally I don't like the character. Not really sure why.

Because it's obvious to most people with a brain it was Sylvie.

It does seem odd how they showed that and then forgot about it and moved on with other storylines. Clearly they messed that up

I don't think it's been messed up. It was dangling a teaser, rather than doing something they needed to come back to straight away.

If the episode had revealed her to be smiling at someone - then shown to be Angie or Kathy - and then we hadn't had anything for 4 weeks, I'd be saying it had been messed up, but as it is, it's fine.

What's it like being so clever?

They teased what was obviously Sylvie and announced a few days later that Sylvie would be arriving in the near future.

They haven't forgotten anything and they haven't messed anything up.

All very messy writing though showing this and then moving onto other scenes. Maybe it was Reg Cox she was smiling at

It was quite a funny cliffhanger because it was so poorly shot. It looked like she was talking to her imaginary friend.

For looks yes

But after what he did to Linda I hope that either her or Ronnie go after him.
I'd pick Ronnie over Stacey because she got rid of that creep Carl with style, but Aunt Babe looks like she has potential with that crazy grin.

Ronnie is also my friend, I had her as back up just in case he transgressed.

It's not messy at all and it's definitely not been forgotten about. The show is planned and plotted months in advance.

It's all quite deliberate. Leave the storyline on a cliffhanger so that viewers will be interested when the time comes for Babe to return again. It's quite a clever move actually (the opposite of messy writing).

You were obviously expecting that cliffhanger to be picked up at the start of the following episode, and that's why you have misunderstood it as bad writing. But it was never intended to be that kind of cliffhanger. It was leaving the storyline on an intriguing mystery until the time comes to revisit it.
