Thanks for this. I now have another interesting blog to read apart from Monkseal.
She'd be right at home in here - she doesn't miss and hit the wall regarding JFG especially! The judges don't get off lightly either

You're right, she's a fully developed DOT. She's glorious!

I'm working my back through the previous weeks' blogs and am at Movie Week (plenty of witty Donny abuse)

Do you think she split her dress in practice and they had to glue sequins over the repair?
That's it!!!

Its a strip of gaffer tape with sequins glued on it!

I don't know but they put Sunetra in dresses with long bodices over her hips, though they are rather wide compared to the rest of her. So I wonder if the sequinned arse crack may be a way of trying to make her hips look narrower.
This is by the way the same Vicki Gill who thinks putting Caroline in halter necks or massive fringing does something for her, or that Allison oows good in stretch fabric.

...and appropriate ballroom wear for Mark was a Primark jumper and jeggings.

Well, Google brought up Dancing Times when I searched so that's what I've gone with.

http://www.dancing-times.co.uk/dance...ictly-speaking

Marianka Swain is a full on DOT; loves Claudia, Natalie, Aliona and Iveta; loathes the TTF twee and JFG's ikkle girly choreography and is very glad to have seen the back of He Who Must Not Be Named, Baby!

Instead of the productive day I had planned (ahem) I've spent it reading all her blogs for this year.

Maybe that was Vicky Gill's plan for the men's trousers as well - sequinned arse cracks all round!

I used to dance with Marianka. She is an absolute scream. Before she started writing for Dance Today, Marianka was doing her own blog.

I've laughed, giggled, chuckled, howled, and at one point downright cackled (Their quickstep was gentle, basic and flat – in hold, Judy clinging to him as if he were the last turkey in the shop on Christmas Eve (actually, that's fairly accurate).

Sorry, that was my fault, I meant Dancing Times, but you found it anyway Yes, I also spent a good while today reading back through her reviews and chuckling. She has a great turn of phrase.

Deeply sad and unappreciative of the fact that 4 of my favourite pros are out of the show and the ITT segment only made me realise what gold we have lost whilst the dredges are still left in 😥

We said at the beginning that the celbs were with the wrong pros and it has proved to be right.

Tristram should be with Pixie to loose the incestous vibe
Trent could then be with Frankie who is going to be in the final
Jake could be with Iveta I don't think Janette knows how to choreograph a proper ballroom
Mark with Natalie who could knock out the bad habits and I still a bit of elegance or swap those 2 about maybe.

I don't want to will Scott on anyone but I wonder what someone who could gel with him and appreciate his wit rather than slap stick humour could achieve with him, I suppose he could have had Aliona but I suspect when presented with his dancing ability would have just shrugged and eaten some more custard

Apparently Anya and Ramps are reprising his salsa at an event for Children in Need tonight. Unappreciating that it isn't being televised. Would love to see that.

Unappreciating the fact that there I thought was a nice serie, with no in your face contestant, no smugsy, nobody to get annoyed at, and now there is Scott, outstaying his welcome and starting to make my blood boil... His utter rubbishness is not even compensated by any entertainment value. Why, oh why?

Another strictly come dancing relationship bites the dust. Kara Tointon finally admitted today that her and Artem broke up....I'm just saying this because it's the only strictly news making the headlines this morning....

Has any relationship even survived this show

Fervently rooting for Flavia and Jimmy.

Oh and sorry if this doesn't really fall in the umbrella of this thread

I like Tristan, I really do BUT I doubt that he would have done a great job with the choreography like Trent is doing. Visually Tristan and pixie would have been great but dance wise ? I don't think so. Jmo.

I agree with the rest

And since I'm here, I would like to unappreciate Scott and joanne little segment yesterday about the judges on ITT . What was that about drawing on pears ? Are they in kindergarten

In my head, I fondly imagined that Joanne would be the antithesis of her brother, (who I like but does me 'ead in, if that's possible), an ocean of calm and sophistication. Not that I had much to go on apart from a few clips of her dancing. But she's more or less a female version of Kev, rather like the ADHD teenagers that my missus had the "challenge" of teaching a few years back.

Intersting

I though it was too many haribos myself, certainly it seems to be catching as Karen is now doing frantic and infantile and twee choreography.

Seriously superman, and that Samaba could only have been done by someone hyped up on to many sweeties.

Sadly no Joanne has not arrived as asophiticated antithesis to Kevin, but rather the distillation of everything wrong with him and then some.

I know people celebrate their Britishness, oh dear if this is our best I am so sad, I suspect though the BBC just didn't look hard enough, there must be British dancers who are not addicted to haribo

The bit where she kept twisting the pear round and saying "Gwumpy Cwaig ... Happy Cwaig!" was quite funny, I was hoping the pear would fall off whatever it was stuck onto

I don't rate Kevin much (naff choreography, over-dances) and thought his sister would be at least a fabulous dancer, and hopefully a good choreographer. Instead she's a female Anton, and nearly makes me think better of Kevin - how is that even possible?!?

I must appreciate the four pros on ITT yesterday, especially Aliona and Tristan to demonstrate some of the moves. I'd much rather see this every week instead of Karen. It could easily be tweaked for a weekly format - showing how to do the impressive steps people got right, or where exactly it was that they went wrong, as well as taking questions from viewers. It would certainly be better than Karen - "oh, they can't dance to that song! I danced to that whenIwonwithMark!", or my least favourite was talking about Harry and Aliona's salsa? at Blackpool? "Oh, when he unwrapped her it was so dangerous, it could have gone so wrong".

I do wonder if she would be different with another celeb. At least in terms of her choreographic offerings. I would normally quite appreciate the odd bit of "can't be a**ed", but with her and Scott they keep claiming despite all appearances that they can, and yet it's not getting them anywhere (apart from through to next week of course)
