We know for a fact that Zoe would be able to handle the "walk down the stairs and 3 pretend dance steps" bit better than Tess

I mentioned last week about the missing pics. I enjoyed discussing them in a WTF are they wearing way without being distracted by WTF are they dancing?

It was me who let in the serious discussion, sorry miss and all that.

Thanks MayD I think your vision for SCD seems a bit too like Come Dancing for it to be successful.

I too miss the chance to look at the rehearsal pictures, you know I think they are missing a trick there imagine the head of anticipation we could have built up if we had seen Scott complete with hat in the rehearsal pictures 😃.

I would like to unappreiciate the weather, I have just been for a long walk by the sea, in just a thin jumper, the fact that it is November and the sun was so low down in the sky with all the leaves still on the trees mostly green, has fried my brains, I want seasons, SCD is autumnal or winter. ☺️

I hope the sproglet is ok, poor Claude, hurry back it has already been proved once to me that Zoe cannot replace you.

But at least she is no Ronny Corbett

Me, no....

Evening DOTS! There is a giant bowl of earplugs next to the tequila. Think both are required to get through the evening. I am cringing at the thought of the caterwauling that will occur when the singer attempts Wuthering Heights! And I can't bear the thought of the rendition of Defying Gravity to which we will be "treated"!

Drink heartily lovelies and wear them in good health!

I assumed she was going to be Debbie (the woman from Adams Family Values who goes after rich men, marries them and kills them; tries it on Uncle Fester and is baffled by the fact that he will not die). I think Joanne could make a good Debbie.

And then, see, she and Scott dance and she tries to kill him while he remains oblivious. Eventually she gives it and walks away, leaving him heartbroken but she has a smile on her face as she sets her sights on her next target and morphs into...

Glinda from Wicked, as played by Kevin. He and Frankie (Elphaba) have a back and forth about being true to yourself vs. seeking power through popularity, Frankie flies off on a broomstick, having decided to stick to her guns, and leaves Kevin wandering the dance floor wondering if he did the right thing.

Frankie flies until she ends up in a graveyard, where she finds two skeletons (Ola and Steve). She's lonely so she decides to have another go at using her book of spells to see if she can bring them back to life. Her first attempt only animates the skeletons so she keeps searching for something better while they dance. She finds something at the back of the book that looks promising but she can't quite tell what it does. Deciding she's got nothing to lose, she tries it anyway and...

The skeletons tun into zombies (Pasha and Caroline)! The former skeletons are delighted by their new bodies, even if Frankie's a little bit horrified, and dance around in joy. Frankie eventually loses sight of them as they head off into the distance and end up bumping into...

Mark and Karen, who are trying to work out how to satisfy their flesh-eating Plant. They dance around the zombies and eventually manage to corral them into the corner of the room where the Plant is kept. The zombies stumble as the Plant lunges towards them and devours them both. The Plant however can't digest the magical zombie flesh and dies of indigestion. Mark and Karen celebrate.

Pixie and Trent, however, are less happy. (NB: I'm aware that pixies and fairies are not exactly the same thing but... eh, close enough.) Basically they're Oberon and Titania and Trent had set up the Plant prank for Pixie's entertainment. They have a bit of a row about it (Trent thinks Pixie's been more focussed on other things than him and their dancing recently) and Pixie finishes by turning Anton into a dog and making him fall in love with Judy, who hates dogs.

I don't know, I'm running out of invention here, maybe Judy tries to poison Anton so Simon and Kristina show up to try and warn him. They fail, he dies but then haunts Judy down the ages as in another life they morph into...

Alison and Aljaz, as Cathy and Heathcliffe, Cathy begging to be allowed in while Heathecliffe cruelly shuts her out in the cold.

Sunetra and Brendan finish by giving us a lesson on the theme of the week - Tainted Love.”

Bravo! The show will be a disappointment after this, what could have been.

I have my cast CD, am going to mute the tele and listen to Kerry and Co. It may not fit, but it can't be any worse

I trust these are the affordable, yet effective OWSINGR earplugs from IKEA

I'm thinking I'm going to be feeling a lot of empathy with Alison tonight; hammering on Aljaz's windows, telling him I'm cold, demanding to be let in. The only difference being I'd be more Annie Wilkes from Misery than Catherine from Wuthering Heights, and the Met Police would become involved, and social services, and maybe a long stay in a psychiatric unit.

(Actually I would never mess with a man whose girlfriend can leap up to neck height and strangle you with her rock-hard thighs).

Judging by that intro sequence, I'm definitely going to be unappreciating the VTs tonight.

Unappreciating the Grimsbys being front and centre yet again in the pro number, even though they are not the best dancers.
