And yet she still doesn't look like a car wash brush like a certain someone.
I have to say if she STILL manages to look sexy despite all the big bird costumes, perhaps they are worried in case the show gets an x rating if she gets dressed in the standard Scd glamour

I am somewhat saddened that we will never see the delights of Scott's Rumba. It would surely have induced screams and howls that would make Miss Hauer look like a shy retiring wallflower at a teadance.

Me too. I wanted to see his Argentine Tango as well. We still have Judy and Alison. The thought of a rumba or AT from those two makes me feel nauseous. At least Scott's would have been funny!

She certainly did - and did you notice how Mark was picked out for special mention.
The two of them are ridiculous. Overpraised and overmarked. The half-butterfly is not that difficult if you have a strong partner. I - who have bad feet and knees - did it on Saturday night with my husband who is NOT a dancer!

Out of curiosity, I just looked Mark up on Wikipedis. I'm mean I know, but this section made me laugh:

"In 2012, Wright presented and starred in a new ITV2 show titled Mark Wright's Hollywood Nights. The show ran from 10 June 2012 until 7 July 2012 and was later axed. Wright was due to co-present a new entertainment series with Melanie Sykes named My Man Can. After filming a pilot and the entire first series, ITV made the decision not to air the show on television.

On 26 February 2014, Wright fronted his own ITV2 reality show entitled Party Wright Around the World. The programme was axed two months later."

His presenting career has been a huge success, I see!”

Yes and he wants to resurrect it by appearing on Strictly. He has no talent and to me comes across as someone who needs to grow up and take criticism without crying or making a spectacle.

Believe me, Karen isn't helping his cause either.

Your husband may not be a dancer but I'm sure he's danced before, even if it's only at weddings. It takes 10 years at Sylvia Young to be the guy who has "never danced before" (Bruno).

Plea to DS: Bring back the rolleyes smiley. I really need it this year to express my view on the gubbins Strictly expects me to swallow.

Oh dear. I can't stand Mark Wright and have never liked him. His pizza cheesy grin is enough for me. He works so hard in getting into anything media and yet he hasn't shown any real talent for anything. He's tried this, that and the other and he's still appearing on our screens.

I know it's wrong as even though I don't like him, I shouldn't have grinned on reading your post. Gotta give him 10/10 for determination I suppose. What a numpty

I find the most amazing thing is that people still hired him
If you were the average Joe on the production company you wouldn't be clearing space on your mum's Sky box if you heard the news he was part of it, would you?

Wonder who he knows...*conspiracy alert, tin hat ON*

I unappreciate the pro dance last night. How dare they not give Natalie the queen's role. She would literally be the fabulous, fierce, scarf-loving Queen Nat.

Nat would have been good, but Iveta would have been better.

I'm joining in the unappreciation of Caroline's costumes and how samey all the Latin dresses are. Is all that fringing because it gives the illusion of some hip movement/because it was going cheap/because Vicki's boyfriend works for the wholesalers/because it is quick to sew it onto a leotard base and snip off the ends last minute without worrying about hemming/because it is the current fashion in pro competitions???? There was a thread recently for people to post their favourite routines ever and I re watched Matt and Flavia's salsa and just kept thinking, 'What a gorgeous dress.....you'd never see one like that these days on Strictly

I've noticed that the pro men's trousers have stopped splitting now, if they're having to make proper trousers instead of buying a job lot at George by Asda maybe they're saving the money by using fringing on leotards instead of proper dresses?

On the theme of costumes, I unappreciate myself for not noticing if Sunetra had a glittery bum crack feature on Saturday.

I think back then the outfits were made before the show and just alterations made as they went along. There were the occasional dresses that were changed from previous dances - I think Alesha's jive dress was Louisa's from the year before with a few adjustments. At some point it was changed and the outfits were made in the preceding week, and that's when bits started falling off/splitting or, as in the case of Chelsee popping out.

Alesha had some lovely frocks that year. I seem to remember some of Letitia's being a shade matronly, but I just looked at her Paso dress, and it was good.

I think you'll find it's actually Littlewoods.

I seem to remember Letitia's started off boxy and then got more shape as the weight loss/getting fit storyline kicked in

I can aslo remember about series 7 ish seeing a wardrobe bit, where wardrobe person said they start each series with an overall theme - the year I'm remembering it was Moulin Rouge does that fit for 7, can't remember anyway and then within the general theme they have a continuous style for each celeb. I guess that is pretty much the same now - I'd have the overall style as 50's for this year given the unlamented drainpipe trousers, maybe? and the individual style as car wash for Caroline and sparkly crack for Sunetra

Do the female pros still use their own dresses if they want - didn't Erin use a lot of her own ballroom gowns?

That's virtually his waltz wear.

I think the overall theme for this series is "Squashed Knackers".

She didn't.
She had a Maid Marian criss cross string bodice sewed onto the bottom of a West Side Story skirt.

Hayley's voice went a bit wobbly in that Wicked song.

I wish to unappreciated myself for not knowing that Mark Wright attended Sylvia Young's establishment. And for TEN YEARS!!!!
I thought he had no dance experience and was starting to support his efforts last week and this week..
That hint of support ends here.
I apologise for almost falling for his hype.
I feel so foolish.

I think this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Like-a-Lam...-/380866438191
is the theme for Caroline's frocks this year.

I'm seriously wondering if he's got his Littlewoods deal written into his Strictly contract. That Christmas jumper and jeggings ensemble was very Littlewoods.

I didn't know Annie Lennox was going to be on.

Strangely, I had only been listening to samples of her latest album on amazon a few days ago.
I hated them ALL.
I thought her voice sounded shouty and harsh. And there was no emotion in her delivery. The piano was ploddy and pedestrian on all of them.

I couldn't see the point of her even making this album.
I only looked because it was in my list of amazon recommendations.

And her performance last night was exactly the same.
Soul-less, shouty and harsh.

Never 'got' Annie Lennox tbh. Little more than noise with background music imo

Bowie would be another in that category

That's precisely what this new album sounds like.
The piano is really loud and her voice is just 'plain' sounding. No soul. Its all dreary.
To me a good voice is felt rather than heard.
She's just grating these days.

And she's so bloody intense it gives me a headache.

At least she wore a poppy this year which pleases me.
I like a poppy to respect the Fallen.
