He really does strike me as doing it under duress. I won't say anymore until you've seen the show.
I've seen the launch show now. And I think I might love Tim a little bit.

Are you trying to say she killed Big Bird and then dressed herself in his plumage?
With that or she is in Widdy's cast offs.

Not sure if you picked up on what he was saying about him doing strictly because his missus wants him to, but apparently Mrs Tim can ballroom dance. Does that mean he could be an undercover ringah? Or a glutton for punishment, Natalie and his wife. *giggles*.

Look, I know they say a problem shared is a problem halved, but that takes the biscuit.

I don’t think any of us need to fancy that rugby fella. He fancies himself quite enough.
Same with that Simon from Blue.
Why was Bruce allowed to take over the first ten minutes of the show? I thought we’d got rid of him.
And I am not expecting to see many fabulous costumes this year because most of the show’s clothing budget will need to be spent on very strong brassieres for Alison. I knew she was a big lass, but……she is going to need some pretty strong underpinnings for jives, quicksteps and anything remotely ‘springy.’

I am worried for her. Seriously.

Now then, just when I thought it was impossible to be more annoying than Karen Hauer or the TinyTreeFrogFromGrimsby........... along comes the sister of the TinyTreeFrogFromGrimsby.

OMG.

TOTALLY unnappreciating her.
She made bloody Lulu seem calm and sweet.

And that new guy Trent, reminded me of Russ Tamblin.

A cringe sums up how both of them make me feel.

Anyone of these would be ideal....but my personal favourite is 'A Cringe' ...because
that is what they make one do

I prefer Trixie as a name though - the couple is just as faux cutesy with steel core as most people I've encountered with that name.

Edit: Or a little moptop dog. One of those yappy wee things supposed to be carried everywhere.
Nooo, Trixie was the name of my first dog, a large border collie/lab cross. She was a gorgeous, gentle & had bags of personality. She cannot share her name with the Blands (pretty please )

He's got quite large eyes and reminded me of a TY beanie toy. I can see where you're coming from with the Russ Tamblin thing though.

Oh god, my worst fears confirmed, there's two of them now
She's also reminds me of Karen Hardy, both in her looks and her gurning.

Let's hope we don't have a barn raisin' group dance or a flick knife Mambo sequence.
I don't think I could cope with The Grimsby gruesomes interpretation of either.

I don't think there is a brassiere yet built ....unless by a shipyard ....that could keep
Alison's assets under control in a jive....I think her lovely partner will have to wear
a crash helmet to avoid brain damage.
She could wear a form of upper body armour...if The Tower of London could spare
a bit from the Henry Vlll collection....but failing that.....a pair of dustbin lids?

I bet the wardrobe ladies unappreciate having to make frocks to support her ample bosom.

This is going to be very interesting in the more bouncy dances.

Oh dear oh dear.

Well, history suggests it's not going to be pretty. Even with all the layers encasing the busoom of doom and the lack of general movement from its owner, it here was still independent activity.
As for Lisa Riley, a back injury was the least of Robin's worries.
It's going to be carnage.

I've already pegged Tim as this year's dirty ringah

Tim has previous dance training:

'He is a skilled Tap Dancer having graduated from the Brixham School of Performing Arts in 1971.' (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Wonnacott)

So he's the dirty ringah

[Honestly, I think this makes Tim a very intriguing contestant~ he's got a great choreographer in Natalie, and he presumably has some dance and performance skills, however rusty they may be, added to which he's got an 'old school' sensibility about him. I'm looking forward to seeing what they produce. Latin might not be their strong point, but I'll bet there's some lovely ballroom to be seen from them ~ assuming the producers don't force ridiculous themes on him every week in order to make them into the 'comedy' pairing ]

Admittedly, I posted this before watching the launch show. Having now seen the group dance, I ... errrrr ... ummm ... yeah, so it turns out he might not be that much of a ringah

Forget Alison's brassieres, Aljaz is going to need some of those arm-extenders they used to sell in Lakeland, for people who had trouble reaching things in high-up cupboards, to get her in any kind of hold. If he develops a hunch reaching around her bosoms I am not going to be happy with her.

I keep having visions of Trent and Pixie doing a Waltz to Tomorrow Belongs to Me from Cabaret.

That's why Artem would have been good as her partner. He could choreograph the whole dance out of hold and no one would bat an eyelid. Except for Len if he was in purity of dance mode one week.

I am not sure Aljaz has the necessary choreography skills. Last years seemed very forgettable, certainly there was no stand out dance I remember. Regardless of how well Lis can move it will stick look odd because Aljaz does not have any bulk. Robin and Lisa looked a bit odd but Allsion and Aljaz will not make a natural looking couple.

On that note why were Karen and TTF dancer together, it looked as though she were dancing in her slippers, I don't know what she had on her feet, what ever they were they were odd.

Now I know we've all been meanies implying that, because Thom went out with Kelly Brook, he must be a bit Thom-Nice-But-Dim, but I've just seen this tweet from him on Twitter -

ThomEvans @ThomEvans11 · Sep 3

Hmm.. I wonder who the pre- Madonna is in @bbcstrictly? @judmoo??

'Pre-Madonna'? Pre-Madonna? I know I shouldn't laugh and feel smug and superior, but I so do.

Am loving Tim and Nat, Jen and Tristan, unappreciating the Midwich Cookoo's and dreading Kristina's planned crotch action with Simon (is he this years Bot ?).
I actually know Scott, he's definitely a DOT and does TTF's sister have a bit of the Karen Hardy about her . Just popping in but will go back and read from the start of the thread this afternoon.
