Expecting 10s this week just because it's Blackpool.

I missed most of that because of the blinding lights and shots from the ceiling of the ballroom that made TTF and Frankie look like ants. They seemed to run a lot and then do side by side stuff.

My first thought as well!

Why is Frankie wearing a picnic blanket? Is she Scottish?

TTF looking even smugger than he did with Smugsanna.

Uh oh, Jake in death slot

Appreciating Aljaz doing some smouldering camera-hogging in the background there. He must have been taking lessons from Aliona.

I didnt think it was possible for someone to make Pixie look bad but they managed it

Janette, it's meant to be about showcasing your partner, not showing off

I bl**dy loved that!

More dancers seems to equal less dancing. I enjoyed that though.

Unfortunately the addition of the extra dancers is somehow making me have flashbacks to the cabaret sections from 3-2-1 in my childhood.

I liked that

Yes, there were some nice moments in that but they mostly came from Janette.

Unappreciating the backing dancers already. They didn't help Jake there at all.

I'm having a mini rant about Alison being there in the audience!
Nobody else goes the next week, especially going to Blackpool, it means something to not get through, you miss the chance.

Hate other dancers 😡

One thing I noticed from looking at old dances for The Ultimate Strictly Thread is that, as well as having less faffing, they also used to be a good 15 - 30 seconds longer. Most of the dances these days seem to be over before they get going.

Me too, I think they outshone him and there was too much focus on them and not the two of them.

Hmmmmm, the scoring is suspect (although I did enjoy that).

Right everybody, on a scale of Halloween to SodOffDonny, how much do we think a Blackpool 10 is truly worth? I reckon a Blackpool 10 is a Regular 8.

Sunetra never seems to get a good slot.

I think Jake is at risk of being irremediably stiff. Liked the concept of that but not the choreography.
