Loving the idea of the comedians' Strictly! (Producers, are you listening....?!)
However, deeply unappreciating that I have to miss *both* Friday and Saturday night's shows Will have to steer clear of here until I catch up and watch the dances, but I hope you all have a whale of a time. Looking forward to the start of some serious unappreciation

Put her with KFG - that would be nearly as good as Vinthent and Stephanie Beacham.
![]() Who could we put Hugh Dennis with? I ask this bearing in mind that I have a crush on his ever-so-expressive left eyebrow... I'm thinking Iveta may be good - or bring back Erin. Definitely NOT Krotchtina! BIB: Does that count as a weird celebrity crush? Quote:
He's six foot two. Give him Natalie.

Is KFG any good? I have to confess, I only half-watched last year - having been an avid fan since series 2, I've been falling out of love with it the last few years. My only impression of KFG is from his overblown Paso - I seem to remember him throwing himself around the floor like he'd had far too much caffeine while Susanna walked around a bit wafting her skirt.

BIB: Does that count as a weird celebrity crush? We need some more tall female pros. Dara O'Brian is about 6 foot 2 too. Bring back Camilla! Quote:
Not many (if any) of us are fans in here. I quite liked him for the first couple of weeks last year, but he tends to both overdance and overact everything and that put me off swiftly. He may be more bearable without Susanna though, who descended into Dr Hammy territory.
But I can say that KFG was one of the most irritating... And in here he became known as TTF (Tiny Tree Frog). It remains to be seen whether he will be shown up by his sister (Female from Grimsby - FFG) or whether they are both going to be as irritating as hell... ![]() What Kevin over dancing............... - Did he do that??? Its a bit like saying did Tom Chambers (the smug vicar) get married during his series......!

I was, initially, so pleased when kevin turned up last year..home grown talent...yeah..
Took me about 3 weeks befor I couldn't stand the guy , for all sorts of reasons ... Perhaps he will present a different face this year but am not holding out much hope As for FFG....from what I have seen so far, she is going to irritate me hugely..... |

Hi y'all. Greetings to my fellow DOTs from Florida.
Yet again I am missing the kick off. Hope you all have lashings of alcohol and cake ready. I am home in 2 weeks. Tristan better still be there. |

LOL Tiny Tree Frog? I have to admit I liked him in the little video with Frankie, but I'm always open to changing my mind to a more negative stance
![]() Does anyone know how tall he is? And Pasha - he looks fairly small as well. Other than those two, everyone seems to be about 6 feet tall - Tristan, Aljaz, Trent, Anton, Brendan. I'll never get over losing Ian, and they needed a guy his height, but as long as Tristan's in the cast, I'll be a devoted fan again (and DWTS will be far behind in my rear view mirror, which is probably called something else over the pond but I can't remember what.) I used to live in Dublin, quite a while ago, so I'm Team Ireland for multiple reasons, but not feeling too hopeful due to the bookies' ratings ![]() Anyhow I'll probably soon find someone new to be hating on besides Gregg and Kristina... Maybe the little froggie. Sorry to be so saccharine in the not-appreciation thread - will do better next time! |

Tbh, reading the NAT has been more entertaining than watching the actual show, for the last couple of years. ![]() Quote:
Lily I also didn't watch last year with any great obsessiveness.

In the Radio Times interviews, it gives the impression that she kept answering the questions that were being put to her celeb, so I'm expecting her to be a bit "me, me, me". Though I'm trying not to pre-judge. Much. |

The launch show didn't give me the best first impression of her. I'm watching this sans alcohol tonight - could be painful! |

It's a bl**dy shame that some (loads?) of us who were fans from the start have lost interest. I'll watch it properly this year now that Bruce is gone, but I know the inappropriate music, props, etc are going to irritate me. And whether I make it past Halloween week which usually makes me want to put my proverbial foot through the telly remains to be seen.
That being said, I watched a few videos from DWTS last night, and found it awful. Disney night, doing a samba to I Wanna Be Like You with King Louie and Baloo superimposed on the screen? Dances that looked the part but bore no relation to the music, mostly because the music was horrendous? Urgh. |
