So...

If they can choose, what should they do for dance off?
I can't remember the scores
In no particular order I'd like to see
Simon - foxtrot
Frankie- AT
Mark - dunno. VW?
Jake- they were both a bit ropey, what the balllroom was
Caroline - salsa

I agree, but I think should Jake be in the bottom two (he won't though!) he will most likely choose the cha cha as he thinks he is a latin boy. His cha cha was awful and apart from the salsa he isn't great at latin anyway.

I'd love to see my 5 year old doing the make up for scd... She slaps pink glittery lip gloss any old where but yet it would still somehow look more subtle than the average scd "style"

A lot of stage show musical singers don't translate well on to TV as they're trained to project to the back row. The same problem could be true for Karen & Kevin.

Darn strictly dancers for getting emotional They're not human beings like us

Could someone tell me who actually dresses Tess Daly? She is an attractive woman with a good figure but always appears in outfits which make her look awful!

If she has a stylist, this person should be sacked! If it's her, she needs to find a stylist, pronto!

Its a very tough business, MDF and the Goat wrangler should have hides like Rhinos as should anyone in that line of work.

They weren't genuinely emotional, they were cynically faking it to manipulate voters. To say MDF has form is understatement of the year.

Don't have a problem with Strictly dancers getting emotional like Kristina being utterly devastated last week and Artem crying every two minutes with Kara, but when someone gets teary doing something that they full well knew had the all likelihood of blowing back in their faces, I'm a bit cynical. Len was not as vicious as he has been with other dancers in previous years either.

Anyway, what thread had I posted it in, again?

Exactly. Crying because you have been caught out is different from crying because you are emotional.

Indeed. Has a pro ever cried because their choreography got a bit of mild criticism before?

Unappreciating in advance MDF & Karen's blubfest if they get through to the final.

I don;t think it was because of that, dancers are quite thick skinned, but as she said, she was upset as she thought she had let Mark down. The tears were for him not herself

That was Natascha? Damn, I didnīt recognise her at the time. My all-time fave SYTYCD alum. <3

My recording of last night failed so Iīm off to hunt for the show by other means. Reading through the thread it wasnīt a vintage semi final I gather

Snork! Can we call him this from now on? Or at least shorten it to GGG - it perfectly captures his creepiness...

Unappreciating Len getting booed for actually, you know, JUDGING and even more about the manufactured crying. I cannot bear MDF and the cheesefest that heralds his every appearance -- it is dragging the whole programme down. Blubbing because an experienced qualified dance judge points out the lack of rhumba in your "rhumba" really is the end.

No, not really. The first round of dances everyone was pants and MDF wouldn't shut up. The second round of dances some improved a wee bit, Len didn't like Karen's rhumba choreography, Karen cried, Mark did a speech and Caroline cahm ahhht and had a blast and got 40 because a) someone needed to b) it was a bit of fun and c) it completley hacked off KFG And MDF.

You did, and it's a mental picture I will keep for a long, long time. Thank heavens it wasn't a theme week otherwise a literally interpreted Latin might have ended with the dirty Sanchez!

The funniest thing about the tears last night was KFG bobbing up and down like Oleg the meerkat trying to scale the wall of MDF to reach Karen.

Spot on. I cannot bear Uriah Heep and hope he's out tonight!

Pros have to take responsibility for what they choreograph and take the consequences. Karen has to be professional - imo her reactions are to get the sympathy vote.

I do remember both Katya and Aliona being criticized because they 'starred' in the dance rather than their celebrities - neither started to cry or over-react.

Have we alerted the lifeboats for tonight? There will be rivers of tears from MDF and the Goat Wrangler - either tears of sadness because they are out or tears of relief because they are through.

OurLeona needs to last longer than week 2 next year - we need someone to balance out the Grimsby tweeness.

Whether we need lifeboats or whether we can survive with just water wings, one thing's for sure. Mark will make a speech.
