I think it's less a presumption that Caroline is going to win than a fervent hope. Not because she's the bees-knees but because the prospect of MDF & the goat-wrangler or KFG/TTF/GGG holding aloft the glitter ball would ruin Christmas for most of us. (Plus, the Thames flood barriers would have to go up.)
