Dance: Love the Kinks but that didn't suit. And how did he make the Kinks twee? (And for that part of the blame must go to Day Varch.) Lots of walking, too much gurning.

Helen: nice, sweet and not particularly unsurprising Week 1 Waltz.
Carol: urgh the VT, very DWTS.

Daniel: I feel like repeating that most Irish people don't sound like him.
I think I see that little nervous tick Kristina used to sport when she had spent too long with Donobot. And he's only smiling on the side away from Kristina. Not a bad week 1 waltz from him, much as I was expecting, slightly dreading all Latin.
Anita: Knew she'd be good if only by the fact that she's last on! Very promising for week 1. Gleb looks like he's got lost from being a background Musketeer.

Looks like there'll be little change to the series this year - 'comedy' vts which are about as funny as the black death, and the tedious judges dancing.
The eejit audience would give a standing ovation and a round of applause if the Elstree roof collapsed when a couple was on!
I quite like the new dancer - Otlile I think? She has twice the personality of her partner - I have to admit, me and my wife chuckled watching him limp along with one arm.
Not keen on Kellie Bright or the overhyped bore that is TTF.
Helen is ok, but I felt her dance was overmarked - while Anita's felt under marked.
Daniel O'Donnel really gives me serial killer vibes - although he has the personality of an amoeba.
Poor Carol Kirkwood - she's one of the most likeable but that was dreadful.
Series 8 tore the heart out of the show by adding props and comedy vts - and the show still hasn't recovered. I wish certain professionals would learn that a dance routine should have dancing in it, and not a significant amount of time spent on 'introductions' and 'faffin' about'.
Let's just hope this year will be better than last year, but the early signs are not good!

I am disturbed by TTF hair - it gets taller everytime he's on screen. Good to see wardrobe on it from week one giving Kelle a truly hideous dress & making Antony's trousers so tight they split.
