Hahahhaaaaa!

Excellent!

As ever.

I do hope we see her in a solo or dance with one of the other pros during this series. If it's Latin so much the better.

And I hazard a guess she'll know what salsa is. Apart from the Goddess no one else does *eye roll*

Agree about Oti, she's certainly beautiful, great personality, and great Latin, but can't help wondering about her ballroom ability?

Helen makes me think of the music box doll from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbX3ZSr43KA

(Tell me you couldn't see TPTB making this a theme for a dance in movie week. I mean, I'm mostly seeing Pasha rather than Aljaz as the rag doll but I'm sure Aljaz could be persuaded as well.)

i know her already from Let's Dance Germany, and Oti's pro partner is Keo Motsepe who dances in Dancing With the Stars USA.

she's a good dancer, unfortunately she gets a partner whose shoulder is recovering, he can't do lifts with that shoulder.

but Oti has a better personality than most of the girls except Janette.

i still don't like Aliona, how she treated Gregg last year, and now she got a younger partner, her first reaction was YES. i find Aliona arrogant.

Natalie is a good person, great teacher and a good partner for Ainsley.

Helen's a bit too twee for me, not in a good way either, that fainting little ingenue is not going to fly for long. She's one of those "stamp over whoever she can that's in her way" sorts

The Andre is going to make Donobot seem like a laid back comedian isn't he? Desperation just oozes off him, bloody Austrailan men, why couldn't we have Adam Hills, one with a sense of humour?”

Actually, thinking about that (agree totally by the way and like others have been saying it for a while), if we can't have the lovely Adam on the show can we recruit him as staff in here? I think he might add much to the ambience.

I'm not getting the Gleb looks obsession that seems to being forced upon us.
Okay, he's nice looking enough and I almost certainly would but even in the world of Strictly he's not top of the tree.
Tristan and Aljaz are both prettier and Pasha is cuter if you like that sort of thing.

Yes, agree with the rag doll image. I think it's the lollipop head and odd makeup. She's a pretty woman so I am not sure sure they have made her up to look like a doll?

Arms and hands completely ballet - but I like that. She also has a very balanced upper body, which is lovely and hard to learn. Young Georgia will have a problem with that.”

I love Helen but will admit the Stepford Doll look was a bit off putting

Call me shallow but I can't get over Gleb's name. It sounds like a mixture of glob and pleb. And his features look a bit cookie-cutter. Not excited over here, sorry.

I can imagine Brendan handing over his 'How to Deal with Pendledrama' notebook to Aljaz while rocking slightly at the flashbacks.
(Rule one - promise to buy her a puppy).

I don't often thank the powers that be at Strictly, but from the bottom of my heart thank you not giving the utterly fabulous Oti to either DoD or P.Duh.

Don't say that - things happen when Georgia is criticised

I just wish she had a partner who wasn't in fear of his arm dropping off.
He seems lovely and his attitude is brilliant - but that broken wing might be the deal breaker.
I hope he's a quick healer.

At least Helen looks like she might be able to dance a bit.
That should help. Not much but it should help.

I'm hoping they're just being careful and he's nearly there,be a shame if it causes him to go too soon as I really like him so far

Is it me or is Jay's participation in Strictly a bit like a student who's just come home from his gap year and has been nagged into getting a proper job by his parents?

I like him, but wtf am I doing here is written all over his face.

I thought the cut away to Mrs Gleb - look, she's really pretty and they have a baby - was terribly clunky and hamfisted ... like someone in HR at Strictly Towers was getting a bit concerned and had it shoehorned in on the fly.

I am now going to have to fight the urge to call her that everywhere. Deliberately.

I am such a child.

I noticed that she never straightened her legs but thought she did well for week one... especially having just sat through Carol and Daniel's routines

That's exactly who he reminds me of!

I'm not fussed either way about her at the mo but if she gets Antony sodding Cotton to come along for any VTs, or even to just sit in the audience, then she's DEAD to me!

He does genuinely seem like he's taken a wrong turning and stumbled on to the set of Strictly by accident. Surely he must have known what he was signing up for.

There was way more to appreciate last night than I was expecting.
Kellie looks like she has potential, even though she's been lumbered with the Grimsby Gurner. And Danny Dyer.
And Anthony and Oti ( or 'Oaty' as Tess insists on calling her ) might turn out to be rather good as well. And they are both hugely likeable.
I'm just hoping that D O'D survives long enough to give us his Rumba. With a Thornbirds theme.

It looks as if Pasha will have to change the routine in his stage show. He brings on the glitter ball (a smaller version) at one stage and it wouldn't work if he is a "past champion".
