Someone in another thread said he reminds them of Lisa Riley, I think they're spot on. He has that heavy gallumping style that she had, where a total lack of technique is masked by "personality" and a "shucks, me" reality show shark personality
Good call.
And both with pro's who are more than happy to go with style over substance and a seeming disinclination to take them out of their overblown style.

He would have been better with one of the old-style pros - Flavia, Erin or Lilia. I wouldn't have liked him any better but he wouldn't have irritated me quite as much.

Ainslie is still my number one irritant, he's like sand in your swimsuit, you think you've got comfortable and then you get a blast of pain and irritation

Yes. You can see.

Unappreciating last night's borefest, now that I've caught up. I think I mentally switched off during Carol's dance. I remember pinkish/purple dress and an umbrella.....and that's it.

I was impressed at how Darcey is able to witter on and say absolutely nothing, whilst sounding articulate and knowledgeable. Can't remember who she was speaking to, but I thought, you haven't actually told them anything.

I saw that, I had to laugh at SK's reply

There's not a lot of point - you'll get labelled a obsessional jelus hatah who loves is ex-wife, rather than someone who just aint buying what he is selling.

Uu

You obviously don't know me very well, ask the others in the thread I will say anything in here out there, respectfully of course, but not scared to voice an opinion. You should have seen me in times of Jason Donovan, either my finest or worst hour, depending on your views on him

I loved Peter's dance, I didn't know that 'Knees Up Mother Brown' had been introduced as a style this year. I particularly liked the bit where he looked like he was shaking a strand of loo roll off his shoe.

Also, the next contestant to say 'it's quick and it's got a lot of steps' will be taken outside and flogged.

Have you ever seen them in the same room at the same time
It could also explain the teeny tiny legs

It's an interesting one. One has good technique and poor performance, the other has poor technique and good (supposedly... gurning =/= good with me) performance. So each side can content themselves with something that can be used to bash the other: "see, proper technique, not just depending on tricks" vs. "well, at least he looked like he wanted to be there, and it looked good, so whatever". I wonder if between the polar opposites, someone can be a bit of both and steal through?

Personally, I'd rather the good technique and poor performance, though I wonder if we'll get a Charleston to force a performance breakthrough.

I just prefer an non-orange, non-media-whore to the other.

As for the dancing, I'm with you, I'd rather watch someone do something well, than over-do something badly.

I was a Colin Jackson fan. It still burns that DG won. Still.

I quite like Helen's madness, she'd make a fab Miss Haversham.

As long as Jaypet keeps doing what he's doing he'll be fine. It's a strange thing there's two 6' plus, pasty white, well built males in the show, one is elegant and lyrical on the dance floor, the other dances like a gorilla that's just been stung by a hornet.

Kirsty was so poor I was amazed she seemed to think a 5 was unfair, I thought it was generous if anything. We will have tears from her by the time it's all over.
I think she worked very hard at the lifts and it would have been unkind of him to tell her why there were so many. I don't think she worked out by herself. I felt sorry for her.
