I quite like Helen's madness, she'd make a fab Miss Haversham.

As long as Jaypet keeps doing what he's doing he'll be fine. It's a strange thing there's two 6' plus, pasty white, well built males in the show, one is elegant and lyrical on the dance floor, the other dances like a gorilla that's just been stung by a hornet.

I like Helen - and I really like her speaking voice

I think a performance journey Charleston as been on the cards for Jaypet since launch night. They've probably booked the acting coach already.

Someone on another thread said he reminds them of Gene Kelly, looks wise.

Gene Kelly

PDuh

Is there something wrong with my eyesight?
And somewhere in Dancer Heaven, Gene Kelly is begging the God of Dance to smite said poster with the biggest thunderbolt ever seen ever.

I just prefer an non-orange, non-media-whore to the other.

As for the dancing, I'm with you, I'd rather watch someone do something well, than over-do something badly.

I was a Colin Jackson fan. It still burns that DG won. Still.

I think Jwaan has sewn up the Ms Haversham role. By the end of the series she'll be sitting in the corner ( the front corner) of Claudia's closet wild eyed and covered in cobwebs. On second thoughts maybe she's more suited to the Mrs Rochester role.

I think she worked very hard at the lifts and it would have been unkind of him to tell her why there were so many. I don't think she worked out by herself. I felt sorry for her.
You're kinder than me. I'm sitting with a huge bowl of popcorn waiting for the inevitable Pendledrama meltdown

We were very close to both of them melting down, Brenda's voice was getting higher and higher as he "this girl'd" and "this lady'd" while Princesspendletwo looked shocked she wasn't given the Glitterball there and then.

Maybe next week.

Same here. Colin was sublime. Man could dance. Lovely person too.

DG? Oh please. Lumpen bore.

Poor Jay, he is feeling the ire of the fans of the PDuh.

Helen is a bit...manic...isn't she?
Ridiculous claims about contemporary dance stuff. In all the videos being dragged out Jay's doing really basic 'commercial dance' moves, which do not require much technique and even less training. All you need is trainers, a bit of sulking and an ability to lean forward a lot when you dance. Like street dance for duffers.

Pah!

Yes, I think Helen is very, very wound up and quite liable to go into meltdown. Not a happy bunny at all.

I think Sofs is talking about the 'discovered YouTube evidence' of him being a trained dancer to rival George Chakiris or something.

I wasn't talking about last night. At all.

I was referring to the YouTube videos of Jay's early 'dancing career' dragged out by those who claim he is a trained contemporary dancer (snort) on another post.

In those videos he is dancing as part of what looks like a group of musical theatre students, doing not very exacting choreography.

What on earth made you think I was referring to last night's performance

Purleeeeese!

Anyone else irked by Tess's penchant for holding the hand of virtiually every contestant as they stand waiting for the judges comments after they have danced?

Why does she do this?

Jay looked distinctly uneasy. He is not a snivelling 11 year old standing next to teacher. He is a grown man Toss. Put him down. He was far too polite to pull away.

Tess has never gone beyond being an awkward, air hostess style presenter with a bad dye job, appalling taste in clothes and a limited facility for originality. She is spectacularly clumsy where people are concerned.

Why be so mean, no need.

I have acknowledged my error and laughed, why can't you. It's not at all nice to be so condscending. Well at least to me anyway. Jesus...

I used to fancy George. But I was very, very young at the time and I couldn't tell the difference.

I like Helen but am beginning to wonder if I like Helen or do I actually like Trixie ? I loved Trixie in Call the Midwife . Trying to seperate them in my head and seems I cant

Unappreciating everyone I know loves P.Duh. Honestly think nothing will stop him winning, regardless of his dance ability.

I hope so but I'm being very cynical and thinking that P.Duh has a bigger fanbase combined with the fact the judges seem to be completely up his arse.....
