To be honest I thought Gavin's quickstep was a surprising thing of beauty.

I too am getting Gavbot vibes off Daniel, he sneaks up on you,

I miss Katya, and when I think who we now have as newbies ( other than Oti so far ) I am bemused by their casting decisions.

Oh and whoever said Kellie was just too .... Kevin, spot on,

For the love of God Kevin, their are other decades than the fifties and other styles than saccharine.

I think Peters idol with the high knee trots must be Kevin, he frequently tries to knee himself in the face.

Who knew I felt my biggest irritation would be PDuh and my biggest yawn DoD, turns out Iwan, Kellie and Jamelia manage to irritate much more. Where as team GG make me turn the kettle on, mind you I feel the need to hand Giovanni a towel, please start handing him one as soon as he gets off the floor, it's not a pleasant thing to view over supper time.

Woo hoo, delighted Aggs loves Helens voice, need to meet you and talk at you, I think I like her, not just Trixie, she is making little asides that I think mean she is a DOT at heart, though an incredibly nervous DOT. I can just see her telling Brenda she is 32 just like Sophie, and I really liked her.

I have absolutely no memory of their dance at all, it's just a blank, I know I watched it, but I've got a complete 'meh' where they're concerned. Don't know if I was completely distracted by the beauty of Jay's spins, or they're just so very, well, bland.

There's a few dances I wish I didn't remember mind I tend to love a tattooed man, with Iwan I was just thinking 'put your bloody shirt back on'

Completely agree about GG. In fact most of the time I forget she's in it!

I dread to think if Giovanni gets that sweaty during the waltz what he'll be like during the rumba.

She's just sort of there, it doesn't help that most of the other women have bigger personalities, and the person who's the quietest in the whole group is by far the best dancer, so she just seems to fall by the wayside, not 'big' enough to be noticed, not good enough to linger in the memory, just very pretty, a bit 'meh' with a very sweaty partner.

Not appreciating the female pros who joined the show instead of Katya. Oti is looking hopeful, but jury is still out. What a fantastic trip down memory lane it was reading that thread on Gavbot, laughing at the Gavisms and best of all, watching the brilliant compilation video again. Imagine Darcey if she'd been a judge back then?!

Ok how many bath towels do we need on order for the quickstep, and I think they may need to order waterproof capes and wellies for the first 3 rows of the audience.

I know thanks Alli , Gavin and Katya really are a couple who I remember fondly, they both had something about them that made for a magical pairing.

At this point I can't think of another pairing who just had this, obviously Artem and Kara fell in love, as did Matt and Flavia and Joe and Kristina but I don't think they just bounced off one another so well. Closest I think was NAT and Michael Vaughan and she managed to get one stunning dance from him as well. Oh and Mark and Iveta, though I think Mark was simply bemused by Iveta, ( who wouldn't be ? )

If there is ever an all stars they need to bring Gavin and Katya back

I don't think i've ever seen anyone as sweaty as he is. It's the only thing that makes them stand out for me though as they're pretty beige otherwise... & super sweaty-ness isn't exactly a selling point.

I did love Iveta on the show, especially with Mark. As you say, Oti shows promise but the others I just don't rate at all.

Nope, the new ones since Katya and Iveta generally just don't seem very good. I don't like most of their routines, they look messy and unfinished, even when they've had a decent celeb. I'm not always a fan of Aliona's routines, and I would have loved him to go to The Goddess, but can you imagine the mess Karen or Janette would have made of routines and training for Jay, or just how lazy Ola's would have been?

The Waltz isn't a dance which is fun and entertaining.

I'd love Katya to come back, the only female pro I actually like and enjoy watching is Natalie.

Who is unfortunately saddled with Ainsley. She actually looked quite disappointed to be announced as safe last night & I suspect that she's finding him quite tiring (Tbf, I found the 30 sec vt of him tiring). Part of me wants them to stay in so that I can watch her but not if she's not enjoying the partnership.

I'd love Katya back too though, although I do grudgingly accept that it's not happening

I prefer Aliona to Natalie, but aside from those two and Oti (still on probation), yes the female pros are an it either tired or weak.

Funny that the male line up is pretty close to what we have (minus my beloved Artem) and the female onlly 3 in this series.

I was watching Oti in the pro dance on the Results show - the opening number - and she was fantastic.

She is slinkier than a pussy cat, with a beautiful walk. While the others were acting 'sexy' during one particular part of the routine, she just was - in a very natural way. They had to work it, and over did it.

Lord knows, you know how critical I am of dancers, but this girl is sensational.

Her and Natalie are my absolute favourites.

The new boys? Competent and dull. I mean of course they are good, but standout special? Nope.
