I have asked again Sara, the thread has got stupidly long, however I for one am glad it seems busy this year, it only sort of limped along last year

I have just had a reply from DS they no longer split threads, ok so we will be 21 for ever, hoorah, if only that happened in real life

The Welcome return of Ali-F perhaps?

OK this has been bugging me for ages and now you've made me de-lurk to just find out..

What is to stop anyone starting a new thread, called ... (TiMDNaAT) **22** ?

Oooh, funny you should say that - I hate movie week and I was thinking the other day that, instead of having movie week, what would we get if they had TV theme tune week instead?

I had visions of P'Duh and Janette foxtrotting around the floor to the Black Beauty theme, with Janette dressed as Vicky and P'Duh dressed head to toe in black velour. Complete with hooves.

And TTF and Kellie doing an American Smooth to the Eastenders theme. With Anita Dobson doing a guest spot singing the vocals.

And Georgia and Gleb doing a rumba to the Corrie theme, dressed as Hilda and Stan Ogden.

That's not good news.... I remember the "Mavia" thread was on about page 800 and would hardly work (that is why they split it into about 20 odd parts). The "Mavia" and the "Ballroom Bill" threads were the reason why the split had to occur and were 2 of the main reasons the Attic was created. Those two literally brought DS to a standstill.

..... ?? We could always start a part 22 ourselves...... (and put a link in the first post to the previous part?)

Unless the mods locked *21* you would get people posting in both threads depending on the conversation, so even more confusing.

Agreed. Snap (see above).

If the Mods aren't going to do it for us, we probably should do it ourselves.

Agreed - unless one of us also puts a post about a new part (with a link) at the end of this one.....

I think we would deal with splicing and dicing ourselves (the old part would soon disappear down the index (specially on a show day).

I think that's happened before, maybe not this particular thread, and the Mods locked it, and then started a new thread.

I'd pay money to see this

Nothing really, there is also no reason why we can't be part 21 all the time either, the problem arose when we would be randomly split mid programme with posts going missing etc,

I quite like the idea of being 21 for ever

DOD and Kristina could be Father Ted and Mrs Doyle dancing to My Lovely Horse! Please let it happen!

Oh and I've just realised that, in my post, I said Georgia and Gleb - but she's partnered with Giovanni. Just shows how much attention I'm paying this year. Oh, how I miss the days when Strictly was the highlight of my viewing year *sigh*

I wouldn't worry, I seem to have it locked in my head that the partnership is "Georgia & Janette".

Dunno. All I got from her face was utter bewilderment. I am not sure she can absorb as well as she needs to.

And that is worrying.

Georginahhhhh only does things in very small nano seconds of lucidity. And then it just, like goes, sort of like, you know? Like.

No wonder she always looks so vacant. Geeeooovanni does not look amused. At all.

Party's over.

Because it causes chaos in my experience. When mods start new thread, they lock the old one, so you can't post to old one by mistake.

Giovanni is very much not the one.

It brought to mind an old horror film about giant worms under a beach, can't for the life of me remember what it's called. It was flipping creepy, like a Golum was stealing someone's body
