Hello all,

Sorry for missing the liveblog with you all, The Star Wars Gurn Off made me feel ill so I needed to lie down.

Am I the only one who thinks the Spectre theme song is ghastly? I mean it's an okay song, I like the orchestra but just the singer...

Jay's experience showing there, but I don't care about that.
The boy has flair and he was amazing.

Performance experience doesn't automatically mean you are talented.
You can have all the training in the world and still be crap, or all the performance experience in the world and still be crap.

I give you Daniel O'Ken Doll as an example.

Hate that song, hate Sam Smith version so wasn't expecting much and that's what I got, not much 😂

I'm really unappreciating Darcey not giving Jay a 10 just because it's week 3. That's not good enough, if you think it's worth a 10 then give it, regardless of week. We've learned in the past (Harry year) that if you don't give them early, the dancing sometimes gets worse & so you give hardly any

Jay's Jive

I guess this is the wrong thread but Mary & Joseph's son on a Raleigh Chopper that was good

I agree but I don't see as how it fits with Series 9, or at least with Harry. He got his first 10 in week 4 and then got them pretty much every single week for the rest of the series.

And here too.

I particularly appreciated that normally, the first 10 is met by squeals and shrieks from the celeb whereas Jay just looked utterly shocked that they even thought he was any good.

The show really needed that dance tonight & thanks to the lovely rewind on V+ (other digi boxes available) I've already watched it 4 times.

DOD reminded me of Father Ted doing the 3 stages of Elvis!

P'Duh mDe me cry laughing all the way through because I noticed how short his legs were at the beginning - after that it just looked comical, especially with the oversized boots!

Jay was brilliant and we said the same about Darcy not giving him a ten.

Sorry, memory like sieve, was that Sophie's charleston year or was that year after? But they didn't score it 40s because they thought she'd have another iconic dance & she didn't really.

I don't think I'm ever going to forget Flasheart mincily stomping his way through that paso. His legs are awful, he's so camp but untidy at the same time & im still impressed that someone with legs that short can raise his knees to his chin 😂😂😂

Sophie was Series 11. I think the scoring was a bit wonky generally that series because they had no idea what to do re : Natalie

No, I love watching him too - especially as Lord Flasheart.
Just reminds you what a loss he is, though.

Absolutely agree - don't care if it is week 1 or week 15 - if it is worth a 10 then give a 10.

Not only was Jay topping the leader board but Peter Andre showed tonight why he should not win - he really isn't that good.

Yup, I've loathed some of her choreography in the past but that was amazing. Also, due credit (for once & probably once only) to the scd song picking elves. The first section allowed a more cool, laid back jive & that increased the impact of the Misirlou section.

I wish Peter and Jeanette had done a Scarface theme. I badly want to have her say (in her genuine Cuban accent and with Sweet'n'Lo all over her face) "Say hello to my little friend", then pretend to mow P'duh down with a rhinestone encrusted M50. That would really have made my evening.
