I think it will, plus the fact he's under-performing will help too, he has the breakthrough performance storyline to come where he just grins a bit

I think the judges underscoring him might help. I notice there's very little outrage at his 10, more at his experience which is really unusual for the first 10 of the series, usually there's board meltdown for first one. So even his detractors can see it's probably deserved in his case.
I just hope he doesn't peak there, but I don't think he will as his other dances were beautifully danced, the waltz especially. He looks like he's one of few men who is going to be able to dance both disciplines really well.
I don't see the comparisons between him and Sophie, the charleston suited her personality but otherwise her Latin was pretty poor, Jay's cha cha actually had proper technique so he should be fine. I'll stop rambling now 😳😳😳
