I can give up anytime. Honest!

Aww don't say that - I was hoping to use it as a excuse for any potentially excessive phone bills

Register your family's email addresses on the BBC website and kindly vote on their behalf. My 16 year old son and my husband kindly voted on Saturday night 😇😂

Hubby voted once for Jeremy, but weirdly the rest of his votes seemed to agree with me 😇😂

I'm really unappreciating the BBC who are shutting down any unofficial versions of the dances on YouTube. I was watching one of Jay on Saturday which I preferred to the Strictly version as it had judges' comments and scores on it now I'm going to have to keep a whole episode of Strictly on my Sky box for one 90 second dance but I like the comments and scores and cheering, it adds to the performance for me, especially with Jay being so emotional

This is how people are conned .At no stage did Anthony slam anyone .He is quoted as saying its hard to compete against a dancer .Fair enough I guess it is but Anthonys real enemy was his frozen shoulder

The part where they're claiming that Anthony is "snubbing" Jay because he didn't immediately reply to a tweet is particularly ****ing moronic.

Does anyone else think that this carnage now against Jaypet could weirdly help his "journey" on strictly if managed correctly? Being really upset about the fallout after the high that was saturday; Play a bit the victim of bullies because he, like so man, has done ballet, and you know Billy Elliot was also bullied for liking ballet; the judges underscoring considering what his previous experience and his high standard; Aliona doing a wacky choreo and Len attacking her (that rallies the troops like nothing else if the dancer is liked and good!)...

People were saying how unfair it was that helen's past experience was highlighted and Jaypet's was glossed over. Though, its only week three and people now know about it, so no, being a boy hasnt given him an easier ride.

Indeed. I am sure that on ITT Anthony will set the record straight.
(If he doesnt, he needs to hire a PR person asap.)

Thanks honey, I am still trying really hard to get my head around the fact he can make shimmying look cool & sexy. 😱😍

It's curious to me that he turns into a dancing sex God when he dances and then once he's done he turns back into this blinking, awkward schoolboy type, it's adorable 😍

I think it will, plus the fact he's under-performing will help too, he has the breakthrough performance storyline to come where he just grins a bit

I think the judges underscoring him might help. I notice there's very little outrage at his 10, more at his experience which is really unusual for the first 10 of the series, usually there's board meltdown for first one. So even his detractors can see it's probably deserved in his case.

I just hope he doesn't peak there, but I don't think he will as his other dances were beautifully danced, the waltz especially. He looks like he's one of few men who is going to be able to dance both disciplines really well.

I don't see the comparisons between him and Sophie, the charleston suited her personality but otherwise her Latin was pretty poor, Jay's cha cha actually had proper technique so he should be fine. I'll stop rambling now 😳😳😳

Actually a lot of people will have read it. More than probably will watch ITT anyway. But it would be good PR for him to dismiss it on TV, short and sweet and not too much importance.
People like us understand that he has been misquoted, but even so, sometimes for future TV things like how you handle this sort of things is more important than actually doing the right or mature thing.

BIB I think exactly like you. And also Jake Wood springs to mind. The issue that both SEB and Jake had is that they had their only good dance in week 2.
SEB was only marginally better in ballroom than she was in latin, because she was in hold and the whole look through out the series was so perfect and beautiful and elegant for her that it made her look a much better and elegant dancer than she was.
Jake, had Janette as a pro who is a weak teacher of proper ballroom technique. So he didnt have a chance really to become good at any other dance.

That being said, its only week 3!

Which could be why P.Duh, who looked like he'd be half decent on the launch show, is going backwards rapidly and showing some very strange technique - surely if he was doing 'my little pony' during training she would have put a stop to it?

Jay should be one of the few who can do both, his waltz looked promising and his Latin is already considerably better than Anton's (but so's mine to be fair), just, if I was Aliona, I'd try and dodge one of the party dances, just don't see the Samba being his dance, he can probably do it, but just not that sure he'd be able to PERFORM it as Strictly demands.

Not only are there very few complaints about him getting a 10, there is wide acknowledgement that Darcey at least should have given him a 10 too.

Of course there are a few curmudgeons who get off on saying "ooh, one 9 would have been sufficient as that would have put him on top of the leaderboard" *sniff* but this is DS. There will always be a few curmudgeons who simply have to be sanctimonious.

Janette is the worst pro he could have gotten imo, he can already perform, he doesn't need her to bring him out of his shell. He needed someone like Flavia or Erin to refine his technique and calm the over performing down.

I agree with you, Jay should avoid the samba or maybe the AT, that just never translates that well imo. If you're a casual viewer it can often be boring and if you're a lover of AT you're insulted by the level the pros dance it

Now in getting annoyed all over again 😳😳😳 that's the worst excuse I've ever heard for not giving a deserved 10, it's week 3 (where's my roll eyes smiley?). He may never get to the level again where he deserves one (I doubt it, but he may get injury or something happens like Kelly Brook & he has to leave)

But who would have thought from his waltz & cha cha that his jive would be so good? I thought his Latin would be competent but unexciting, but how wrong was I?

He's got the timing that samba takes though, it's all down to getting the face working. Aliona isn't the most gurny of pros anyway, but I can see performance being the main thing the judges pick on now to try to keep his marks down. He could need a salsa or samba or Charleston to get a performance breakthrough.
