Is Jay's Jive going to dominate the entire board for the rest of the week?

I mean, I know we love it, but it seems to have upset a number of people to such an extent that they simply cannot, will not let it go.

I think desperately seeking 52 ways to get people to change their minds, by fair means or foul, is a long hard battle that cannot be won, no matter what black magic you summon up from the Grave of St Jill.

I join you in non appreciating the endless threads on this topic and particularly the "yes buttery" and "whataboutery"

Jay's a ringah - so what? he's not the first and he won't be the last

To be honest it just makes me wander off and watch it again, especially as one of the polls I didn't have a flipping clue what was being asked

When P.Duh was announced he dominated for the first few weeks, now it's Jay's turn, maybe Kirsty will do the Paso to end all Paso's () and it'll be her turn next week - that or Jay's dance won't be as well received and we can have a rash of 'see, he's a one trick pony' threads.

I can certainly see the judges especially Len having an attack of the technicals and suddenly picking apart one of jay's dances to prove he's not got it in the bag yet

if Kirsty does the paso to end all paso's I'm not sure it will be in a good way

In the supermarket this morning, the till lass was telling me about her latest indignant customer. Stll, she said, without 'em there'd be no appreciating the decent ones

THinkCraig will start banging on about performance & Titzilla will top leaderboard for a while until she gets Riley annoying.

That'd be me, I just can't help myself. I know I should reverse back out of thread quietly, but my hand gets stuck on gearstick & I find myself doing 40 in second gear. 😳😳

Unappreciating three polls in three hours. By and about the same person. Exhausting.

Don't buy the ringah tag either, ringah's hide their talent/experience in my definition, so I'll just say "talented".

Is there a cure for what seems to be almost terminal - in some cases - passiveaggressiveitis? It seems to be even affecting a more tabloid headline seeking fellow contestant.

Unfortunately, in my experience of working in retail the good customers are few & far between.

Given the adage of discuss the posts not the posters can I just say those posts exhibit a tenacity which is breathtaking in their conviction that everyone needs to agree with them about everything.

The posts would appear to be deluded about their attractiveness to others given only a few seem to find the posts interesting, funnily enough the posts only really have a few who are interested in them at all.

The posts seem to imply that they have a fascinating and totally new idea to portray when really it's is just the same thing being said multiple times. All of which were ignored the first, third, thirtieth and now three hundredth time they have been written down.

The posts are often breathtakingly based on a faulty premis, that is repeated over and over again as if repitition makes things true.

IMHO a super post tidying all the posts together would be a damn good idea.

And breathe, I didn't sleep well last night, anyone else fancy saying anything at all ever again on the posts subject matter??

I know I wouldn't take on me at the moment lack of sleep tends to make me ......... Irritated.

As a relative newcomer I must hugely appreciate this thread as a haven of (relative) normality, reasonableness and general lack of deranged batshittery. It's flipping bananas out there.

I'm still not entirely convinced that Jay is a proper ringer anyway. And even if he is I don't care.
His mum looked completely gobsmacked when he finished his jive on Saturday. Was she gobsmacked because of the audience reaction, or was she gobsmacked because she'd never seen her son dance to anywhere near that standard before? Because if it's the latter, then he can't be much of a ringer at all. Just much, much more talented than a certain veteran of staged performances and marryer of an overinflated glamour model.

Unappreciating that I managed to misread one of the thread titles as "Pregnancy Test Alert- substitute Jay for Peter" & thought for a sec that Jay was being accused of getting Pduhs missus up the duff

I think most people watch Strictly purely for entertainment, therefore, despite the Orange ones snide comments about Jay having previous training, people don't actually care.
His plan, imo, has spectacularly back fired. All it's done is make him look like a sniveling 5 year old.

You have just insulted a huge number of snivelling 5 year olds, but never mind.
I think you are right about the plan backfiring - or should I say plans.
Plan A was to swan on to Strictly, win the hearts and minds of an entire nation and sweep to victory. Unfortunately, the plan was scuppered by his apparent inability to dance.
Plan B seems to be to try to discredit one of the other contestants by whining to anyone who will listen that "It's not fair that someone who wasn't even born when I first became an international singing sensation is better at something than me! How dare he? I have a lovely wife and lovely kids and fans and everything". Unfortunately this plan is being scuppered by the fact that most people with a functioning brain cell or two don't really care.
I can't wait for Plan C. I'm predicting a new baby, a career threatening injury and a massive tantrum.

If you throw in a day in court and a Jordan* expose, then I think you've got the rest of the journey mapped out.

Does this take anyone else back to when Kelly Brook got a 10 in week 4, for an exquisite American Smooth that had 3 lifts instead of 2 .

DS almost imploded. There was a 20 minute inquiry on ITT. Craig called for her disqualification.

Ah yes, I do recall that.

Did we have this much pearl clutching and outrage over Natalie Gumede? Since I discovered my inner DOT I very rarely leave this thread.
