I think its wishful thinking on my part that Scott will go tonight - because if he goes he takes the gurning girl from Grimsby out with him.

But looking back, he did at least do some dance steps.

I want him to be in the dance-off purely because I have to see a reprisal of his 'Ooh, you are awful' tango pout.

You should amend your post. The spoiler should not be posted outside the spoiler thread - even in spoiler tags. Too many people will click through.

If you read this pls amend post.

Have you amended the thread rules since last year? 'Cause the spoilers been shared here in the past.

It always used to be posted in spoiler tags in here before, I see no problem with that.

I don't think anyone has ever complained before.

Anyway with regard to the result all I will say is

OK

People have to be careful with their response that too has to be in spoiler tags if not neutral but I don't think there is anything wrong with the result being in here in spoiler tags as it has been before

I stand corrected then. I thought last year we pointed to the spoiler thread but then no one to discuss it other than neutrally, but I might be wrong.

I don't remember last year specifically but I do know that it was posted in previous years. In fact, I remember a ban of sorts on smileys in spoiler tags
Spoiler
because they show through like
which could give the game away.

As far as I'm concerned, it's fine to post it in here in tags and not talk about it. I'm sure it can get annoying for those who don't like reading the spoiler to page through post after post of spoiler tags.

Edit: and now they've fixed the problem of smileys in the spoiler tags so I look insane.

I do remember something about it - where it wasn't so much the spoilers but there is a tendency after a few spoilered posts to forget and assume everyone knows, or that what is being said isnt a spoiler although to someone who doesn't know it is.

See how it goes, I guess.

I think he's got two expressions Not Smiling Thom and Smiling Thom - and him and his partner look like Barbie and Ken. He's probably very sweet though.

There are 3 contenders for Barbie and Ken this year
Thom and Iveta
Frankie and KFG
Pixie and Trent

The celebs are so vanilla they are barely present. It is really odd I can't think why we have such bots this year.

I can only think it's because they have been around the media from a young age - Frankie and Pixie particularly - that they have been PR'd and media trained to the nth degree and all you are left with is bland sound bites. All spontaneity in interviews and infront of the camera has been wiped.

All that's left are rote answers and self justification.

Unappreciating Pixie's VT, and showing how 'busy' she is. Is that so they can showcase how she can perform such a decent waltz after little practice time, or are they trying to convince me that she isn't on there because she needs a profile boost as she has plenty of work?

Also, why did they send her out in her bra and underskirt? Is there a fabric shortage?

Accordng to Vicky Gill on ITT, her dress was supposed to have what looked like a crotcheted cobwebby affair over the top bit, but it sounds like Pixie wanted to go without.
(Vicky seemed to be working a nice line of passive aggressive comments this week - she also had a dig about the non-Charleston Charleston )

Oh yes, you are quite right, although I think more Sindy (I had a Miss World Sindy when I was little) and I had a boy doll called Paul who could be Trent.
Shame she is sticking with that dreadful name as her real name is Victoria Louise which is lovely and flaming well GROWN UP! That's why she speaks in that little girl squeaky voice.

She's modelled herself on Edith Ann.

Anyone over the age of eight, even in showbusiness, who wishes to be called Pixie has issues in my book.

I know it's a free country but really...

Imagine a bloke of 25 called Hobgoblin. Ridiculous, yes?

Pixie's VT is odd. Showing she can do a decent waltz with little practice maybe isn't the best strategy for a perceived ringer, and I don't think Darcey helped with her comments about Pixie's very impressive rend-de-jambes.

I'm not against the idea of a top and skirt per se but I found this particular example not great. A longer top with then a skirt that isn't around her ribs would have looked better, as opposed to this which as you say looked like a bra.

Shame Vicky can't do a better line in clothing. Some outright horrors. Think Janette, Natalie and Sunetra got the pick.

Yes, we should really start calling him Anton.

Frankie reminds me of a doll I used to have. Smaller than a Sindy, she was called Pippa and was fully articulated her boyfriend was Pete.

that makes Pixie the one called "Britt" in the Pippa set

I remember Pippa but if she was "fully articulated", I'm not sure either Frankie or Pixie are the best fit.

Oops, someone pass me a saucer of milk please.

Yes, I think one could definitely read between the lines of Vicky's comments this week that Frankie and Pixie both had strops about their costumes but Sunetra was delighted. I bet Vicky has to put up with a lot. Wasn't it last year that Abby only wanted to be dressed in black or white?

LMSO.

Talking of things feline. Any sign of Sofakat so far this year? I thought she hung out in this thread but can't see any recent signs. I owe her thanks so I am hoping she joins us this year and of course for her insight too.
