I thought Beth might push too hard and hurt herself... but not that extent
I hope she recovers well.

Shame about Rebecca, too. Hope she's okay. Two of the contestants I was excited to see out due to injuries

Where's Gemma Merna? Did she injure herself, too, hence not being a replacement for Tina, Beth or Rebecca? This show is brutal - four women out already due to injuries, and Louisa hurt her hand, too.

I think the motto for this show should be something like, 'it isn't about winning - it's about coming out alive!'

I can see this years series being the last. The insurance premiums will be sky rocketing.

Good, it's an utterly stupid premise.

Said it before and I'll say it again, this show is going to end up causing someone life changing injuries. It's a reality experiment too far.

Tina's already booked for 2017, though

I'm sure it's probably the media just running away with themselves, but according to them, life changing injuries could've already happened to Beth

I hope she's okay.

Yeah, I did a bit of digging after I wrote that, hope she's not seriously injured

The amount of injuries in 3 series is actually a farce. Just axe it now. Bring back the games or something in its place.

List of the injured on The Jump:

Series 1 - 33.33% of the competitors were injured (5 of 15):
#1. Sam Jones injures his shoulder and is forced to pull out the day after the line up is confirmed. He's replaced by Ritchie Neville.
#2. Henry Conway injuries his hand and is advised to withdraw himself from the competition. He's replaced by Joe McElderry after a ski jump battle with Donal McIntyre to replace him.
#3. Melinda Messenger pulls out the day after Henry due to concussion, allowing Donal McIntyre to join.
#4. Marcus Brigstocke pulls out of the finale due to injury.
#5. Steve Redgrave also pulls out of the finale due to injury.

Series 2 - 11.11% of the competitors were injured (2 of 18):
#1. Ola Jordan had to withdraw before the show went live due to injury, which left her dancing career with a huge question mark over it. She was replaced by Chloe Madeley.
#2. Sally Bercow also withdraws because of injury before the show had even started. She was replaced by Jodie Kidd.

Series 3 - 26.66% of the competitors have already been injured (4 of 15):
#1. Tina Hobley is withdrawn after falling due to crew members not clearing the jump area. She's replaced by Tom Parker.
#2. Rebecca Adlington dislocated her shoulder. She's replaced by Heather Mills, a former contestant.
#3. Beth Tweddle injures her back. Replacement unknown (will there even be one? There's no one left, hence having to drag back a former contestant ).
#4. Gemma Merna isn't confirmed to have been injured, but she is/was on standby to replace any of those injured, but was reported to have had a fall during ski jump practice, and since she hasn't replaced Tina or Rebecca, I think we can conclude that she has been injured and won't be taking part this year.

Of course, there's actually been more injuries than that, such as Louisa's hand, but not enough to force them to pull out.

I'm surprised about Beth. I'm thinking with the amount of injuries going on are we going to get to week 6 or is the series going to have to be cut short?

This is most stupid show ever made. Someone is going to get killed on this show, about time they got rid of it. What a stupid concept and the celebrities are so desperate for cash they are willing to practically risk their lives for it.

Some one is going to seriously get hurt.

So when Davina Tweeted back about more live events and even more exciting
at this rate they will either be ending the series early or calling back more former contestants...Get Chloe back so Rich and Jude can entertain them in the bar

IMHO I think LightningIguana is right there's going to be such an injury received that's the show over with. I just hope Beth will make a full recovery just like DOI she really gives 100%

If somebody dies on this then Channel 4 could get themselves into serious trouble.

Ever since that Noel Edmonds show 'The Late Late Breakfast Show' in the 80s/90s when somebody died in a stunt that went wrong rules were put in place for TV shows to ensure that people on their shows are safe.

I had hoped they would have a new format for this show. They shouldn't pair people up, it should be everyone compete and those with the slowest times should go for the jump. Although i don't think they shouldn't eliminate someone every night as not everyone gets a chance at all the sports so you're not getting the best all rounder. But then i suppose we wouldn't get the jump at the end of every show so what do I know!
