I never want to hear the word Siddles again.
No Davina WE don't love him. Personally I think he's quite irritating, although I'm sure he's a nice enough bloke in real life. You may love him Davina, but don't tell me that WE all love him.

Biggest joke of the night, Joey Essex has wisdom teeth.

There is a joke in there somewhere about him having his wisdom teeth taken out and him losing wisdom or something. But as you can guess by the previous sentence I don't write jokes, so it's there ready for someone else to make it.

Davina messed up again by telling Sid he would be doing the jump after he finished last in the Wu-Tang. No Davina, he would have to race again and would be unable to jump unless he survived the next race.

And do people from TOWIE always have to start every sentence with "D'ya know what?".

Ben is very effective. The newest competitor yet can still blow everyone away.
Ben and Dean are basically thugs aren't they?
No but seriously Ben has been a very impressive newcomer, has picked things up so incredibly quickly, and has the competitive spirit that this show needs.

I think I would have preferred Dean to win, not just because he's been there from the start, but because he has probably been the consistently better competitor since the start.
Dean and Ben's rivalry has been perfect, and has probably been the best thing about the show since Ben came in.

In fact when they do get to some of the action with the better competitors this is a very good show. I've noticed this over the last two or three weeks. A week or two ago there was another exciting race between Tom and Ben.
Tom, Dean, and Ben have been at the centre of the competition when it has been good.
Really, I feel that they were the most deserving top 3. So no complaints from me there.

Hopefully they will go back to the episode per night format next year.
Do you really think it will be back next year? I highly doubt it will.

Haven't watched it yet. However, I can't help feeling slightly disappointed with Ben winning. I think he's great, but I guess in properly competitive shows like this, I prefer the winner to be one of the 'originals'.

*sneaks in* Is it finished now.........I tried watching it but the gurning shrieking jumping up & down McCall put me off completely. Even fast forwarding her didn't help, & what the hell was that weird wee guy with an accordion all about?
The background noise really really got to me as well & when I heard the awful Heather Mills was joining the 'team' I had to go!

Who won anyway, or did they all die in a massive ski jump?

Anyone spot the Abominable Snowman, or Yeti, or Wookie, or whatever it was?

Was this the show's attempt to recreate the Gorilla Illusion?

Joey Essex having his wisdom teeth out??? About time then, it's usually done at 18 at the latest. Cosmetic surgery more like ????
Speak for yourself, I had 2 of mine out at 28 - the other two still remain at 48 so you never know...

I wouldn't let my children watch this again.

Basically be a thug and try to push people over to get ahead.

The ski jumps were pathetic and only once were live.

Ben very unlikeable and that Russian girl he cheated on his wife with wasn't on the show. Probably cheating on her.

He was a rugby player! Rugby players tackle others...it is what they do!

Kristina 'that Russian girl' was there.

So because he played rugby / a football he should just be allowed to use those moves elsewhere in his life?

So someone is in the quew in lidls in front of him and its fine for him to just manhandle them out of the way as he used to play rugby?

Bad unsportsmanlike trying to win by just being a thug. Win by skill and be honerable.

Course Kristina's watchful eyes were there, with his track record he could run off with Tamara.

Snow cross is a contact sport, the idea is to knock your opponents out of the way and barge your way to finish first. I kind of understand where you are coming from but surely he was just playing up to the sport in question.

IF this show comes back for another series, I think it would / does work much better when...
1) the shows are nightly - when discussing who I wanted to win on Saturday night, I had completely forgotten who hadn't gone because of elimination / injury & who had been drafted in as replacements, and whether they had been eliminated or injured
2) have all contestants do one event & one Jump each night
3) rather than eliminate nightly, have an overall scoreboard, like The Games, Superstars etc, then if...who am I kidding... when contestants get injured, they can leave, without needing replacements, just to keep the numbers up.
4) on finals night, after everyone taking part in the event & one jump, top of the table wins - simples!

How about two or three shows a week, maybe Sunday, Tuesday, Friday?

That way they get more practice time but the momentum is maintained, the show would then last 2-3 weeks rather than 6 or 1. They could keep the similar events close together so that ski skills get reused. I don't suppose there is much skill transferred from skeleton but slalom, moguls and downhill would benefit from similar training.

That's IF it comes back of course...

Sorry you are right she was there. Was pictures of her desperately holding on to his hand and him looking very bored and embarrassed.

Even Ben isn't stupid enough to ditch her until she gives birth. Would kill his media career. I'm sure he'll wait a few weeks before hanging someone younger. Can't believe I'm complementing him!

I'm an excellent judge of character. I can tell when smiles are forced.

It wasn't competitive it was a poor show. The judges said dean would get a fail for his tackle and Ben tried to do the same.

Thugs.

Thanks I have a competitive nature and would do anything to win and beat my rivals that doesn't make me a bad person. also I know Heather made enemies because of this. some people need to grow up she isn't as bad as what the public make out really she seems a decent lady IMO

From popbitch e-mail 10/03

''Which contestant on The Jump
tried that old "Oh sorry,
I was drunk and went into the
wrong room" trick in the cast
hotel? (The person that they
'accidentally' stumbled in on
decided to change hotels.)''

Any bright ideas folks?

I'll opt for Tamara getting tired and emotional about Tom although I really haven't got a Scooby.
