While idly musing, a couple of questions occurred to me, and I realised I had no idea of the answers. So I'm putting them to those with greater knowledge.
Do tablets and smartphones use cookies while browsing? Obviously the must use "session cookies", but what about longer term ones. If the do, is it possible to delete them?
If i use my smartphone for what I believe is called "mobile data", i.e. as opposed to wifi, I suppose I must have an IP for the browser to work, but what is it based on? The cell I'm currently nearest to? An IP which covers an area or an entire network?
Neither question is particularly important, or even of any practical value, but I'm just curious about it.
